Which one is the best carpet cleaner for pet hair

My dog's hair is on my carpets. Some of my friends tell to buy an vacuum cleaner. I want the best one for my carpet at reasonable price. So what is the best one I can buy?

A piece of advice though, before vacuuming, gently sweep the rug with a straw broom to help loosen any dirt or dust. Use the suction nozzle of the vacuum rather than the power head, and vacuum in the same direction as the pile. Vacuuming both sides will also prevent moths from settling in; however, avoid the fringes as they can be easily damaged. As for the kind of vacuum, you can use any of them actually as long as it is good for carpets.
