Well, did get that step done today. I probably have 5 hours in that one step including modifying the back face to remove the angle. I hope to get two done tomorrow. I have tow measures to compile and turn in, in the morning. These are an absolute pita. Three of the eleven are straight steps, the rest are Dr. Seuss. I'm the last image, my stick is still in place showing the line up tape.
The third image is looking at the bottom sides of the steps showing the seam locations.

Here ya go.... New idea for marking where to cut the seam.
The president cut seam with line up marks is the starting point of installing a step that is patterned like I'm doing on this stairway.
Once the carpet is positioned then wrapped around the tread and stretched to the back of the stair, the next dilemma is how to mark the second half of the seam so it can be cut.
I tried this yesterday and it worked great.
I cut a strip of red rosin paper into thin strips, then carefully positioned the end of each strip against the cut edge of the seam. I stapled the strips hard enough that the staples almost cut through the paper.

My goal was to transfer all these strips onto the carpet backing.
One at a time, I smeared a miniscule amount of hot glue onto one strip, then quickly wrapped the carpet into position on that paper strip and held it for a couple seconds. It releases from the staple easily.
I continued, one strip of paper at a time until they were all transfered onto the carpet backing. Now, just fold the edge back and cut dot to dot. Very fast and accurate.
4 more stairs to go.

I effed up, I turned on the news. I’m catching up on the storm that’s gonna DESTROY Florida. They’re saying it’s gonna be an unsurvivable storm😳 What’s going to happen to the reporter that’s out there reporting on an unsurvivable storm? Will they be swept out to sea? Maybe blown around like a rag doll then swept out to sea. I’d prolly tune in for that.

I forgot how much ******** TV is these days. Nothing but a quick reminder and click, hey it’s an episode of Jay Leno’s Garage. 1971 De Tomaso Pantera. I would grow a mullet, prolly a mustache too, if I had that car.

Here's some "weather" from Marine Traffic.com. the green wind barbs are mostly 26 ish miles per hour. Now this would be sustained winds, not gusts. It didn't look much different last night near midnight. I checked the weather in Tampa Bay and it wasn't very windy.
Now to be fair, this doesn't show rain or storm surge, so obviously this isn't telling much of the story.
Now, I'm gonna Gurgle Tampa Storm and see what really be happnin' there.

I just heard a plane fly over. Flight Radar indicates is a private owner. ....somebody from Santa Ana is probably popping in for a round or two of golf ⛳

So strange what just pops into your head. A poem my late brother wrote when he was a kid in the 1950s. It has stuck in my mind all these years.
"When I was young, I used to think that girls were sweet as pie.
Now when I think, of what I thunk, I think I thunk a lie."

If you see something that really catches your eye, like 2 college girls wearing spandex and sharing an electric scooter, what is the appropriate amount of time to stare? In this case the correct answer is until you can’t see them anymore😁. Don’t worry, I wasn’t rude. I smiled a big ol smile and waved at them. What would you have done?

Currently training my 11 year old boy how to look without looking. He’s about mastered it with his pit viper shades. My Oakley’s only get me so far. He’s got the correct shades for the job!!

Today’s thought: You’re driving across the country. What car do you drive and I’m talkin what do you drive for comfort. It can be sporty, too, but it’s gotta be comfortable first and foremost. And there ain’t no damn kids n ****, comfortable.

What are you driving???

A Tahoe, Yukon or suburban. Hands down!

I currently take my crew cab Silverado. It’s very comfortable but a lot of our **** has to go in the bed under the hard cover. If something is needed I have to pull over.

My neighbor's Ford... Whateveritis.
Instead of driving me around to the parts store, she said come get the keys.
Push the same button to start it and turn it off. 😱😱😱 Don't laugh. If you've never hit the start button to turn the engine off.......... It F' scary! ....eyes closed, fingers crossed, SCARY!
anyway, the seats are to die for.
Side support like a racecar.
It's a gold color if that helps. 😁

It's one of these. To high tech for me, but comfortable. The dash said about 23 mpg. All she does is in town driving, so that's freekin good.

Went to Winco the other day and I got suckered into buying a bag of flavored coffee. Never been a big flavored coffee drinker but, Mmm, it smells so good. Taste wise, meh. Woulda been better off just buying an actual rum cake and having a piece with my usual plain ol burnt *** tasting black coffee. What’s your take?
