We cut and I delivered the first three rolls of woven carpet to my jobsite this afternoon. I got a little little bit strip down.
So not a big work day, but im happy to beat the rain.
The job site is less than 30 minutes away. I might get more strip down tomorrow and get the carpet rolls unrolled so they can relax. Nice sized master,18 by 23 plus the closet.
Customer doesn't live there.... So should I borrow the bag and clubs in the closet and sneak onto the green?
.....or stick to my day job?

The Bandon Dunes maintenance guys popped into the jobsite on Monday to let the contractor know that a bear with cubs has been tipping over and making a mess at three adjoining properties. If they pop in again, I'll ask them the easiest path through the brush to get to the nearest green.

When I left yesterday afternoon, there was a Bandon Dunes worker truck parked by the gate leading to the house I'm working at. There was an elderly lady watching on as two guys were putting trash back into her garbage can. Bandon Dunes doesn't own her property. I'll assume they stopped by to let her know about the bear issue, then proceeded to clean up the mess. Pretty nice of them.

43 for a low and it's 48 now at 9am. Looks like light intermittent drizzle if we get any wind, it maxes out at 9 mph at the airport, so ....pretty boring. I'll deal with it.

I'm not working after dark, that's for sure.

. Not working today as planned. I just got a text that they will be working at the other custom home he's building. This one is 5500 sq feet. He said the other is 3 stories tall and a lot bigger than this one.
It's 5 miles south and at I believe, at the beach.... Not "on" the beach, but with a view. I'm wondering how much "a lot bigger" is? 7,000, 9,000?

We've been lucky weatherwise. We had heavy rain two days ago and police blocked and redirected north bound traffic through one section in town. The storm drains couldn't keep up because it was 3 days past our highest tide of the month.
The tide gates through town close at the high tide, so there's nowhere for the storm water to go. Thankfully, the heavy rain stopped and the tides were almost a foot lower that day. It floods a little on some streets through town if conditions are just right, but we aren't below sea level, so when it floods it doesn't often get into any businesses, just onto the sidewalks and at intersections here and there.....
..it gives us something to talk about.

It is cloudy and wet. Been raining off and on. Cats are piled on me. Already changed Mom's cannula and cooked for her today. She likes sweet potato fries heated in the air fryer.

Got a new cat tree thingy-- basically two posts with a hammock-- on clearance from TSC. Youngest cat loves it. She wasn't sure at first. She spent 10min spinning in circles and sniffing it before she flopped down and slept for 12+hrs in it. She's in it right now.

Cats had a fight last night and I was too tired to get up so I asked Princess to go "make the kitties stop". She hopped up, ran into the kitchen, snarled a bit, cat fighting stopped, and then she came back and climbed under the covers. She's a good doggy.

Best friend has kidney stones. He went to ER yesterday in pain and they were treating him like he was a drug addict until his urine sample came back full of blood. Needless to say he's not feeling great today.

Never used these things before. I thought they were spendy. $29 I think at Wally world. Noise cancelling and they charge when put back in the little case. I'm kinda liking them already. I can listen to hate podcasts at a job without risking upsetting anyone.

I bought the sexy.... I mean unobtrusive black ones in a black case...... I'm now thinking that blue would be easier to find.
I didn't know there is a built in charger in the tiny case....... Just put em back in the magical case an hour ago and they're 100% charged back up.

The case is now at 60% charge, so I'll eventually have to charge the case. I'm likin' something I didn't think I wanted.

Imagine never having to hold your phone up to your ear again. I don’t even want to talk to anybody on the phone anymore if I don’t have my ear buds with me.

A word of caution. While walking during a hot sweaty day, I came home to find my ear "holes" were black. I thought it was dark brain blood and freaked out. After minutes of fear, I realized the black rubber inserts were breaking down, causing a black stain. I quickly changed to clear ear buds and the problems went away.
