Anyone get tools stolen?

I’ve always had an inland marine policy on my tools. Used to be about $10/ month but is more like $20/ month now. Covers them wherever they are. My van, job site, buddy’s house, they’re all covered. Make sure you get a policy that reimburses you at REPLACEMENT COST otherwise you won’t get **** for some of your older tools.

Got my carpet tool box stolen from the open bed of my S-10 about 30 years ago. I got a little more careful after that.

We were doing halls and stairs in an apt building. My son was working one floor up from me. He came down to ask a question and all his tools disappeared. He wasn't more than a couple minutes. After that I started carrying. Was not legal at the time, but I did not care.
