Changing Appearance Of Existing Engineered Hardwood

I have glued engineered wood flooring on cement. Flooring specs: ⅜”, aluminum oxide finish, 1 mm top layer, plies 3, face: hickory, maple & walnut, gloss: matte. The flloring appears to have been covered with poly (?) after install to make it glossy.

Other than replace are there any options to remove sheen and lightened color?

I think you’re outta luck if you want to try and refinish that floor.
