I thought meth cost a lot more than that. I'm so ashamed of my drug ignorance.

Any of you guys have clear skies to see the northern lights tonight and tomorrow?

Not from here even though the sky is clear :)
A few years ago we went on a cruise around Norway of which Oceania Cruises called it the Northern lights Cruise We were never going to see the lights as it was daylight 23 hours a day which we found out after we had booked

I've never seen the Northern Lights. I'm looking at a TRAVELZOO special that includes airfare and 4 days of hotel to some Northern country to see the Northern Lights, for about $500. Seems worth it to me?

In a magnificent piece of investigative reporting, the Associated Press has discovered that the viral phrase “Let’s Go Brandon” is actually “code” for a far more vulgar insult of our beloved president Joe Biden.

I’ve seen them twice due to an exceptionally large solar storm, both in 2002. One was in Delaware, and the other was in northern Pa.

look on space weather.com for info and pictures of past auroras.

I saw them once here in Coos Bay on the Oregon coast.
Nothing pretty, just a dull red glow to the West and some lighter colors when you looked to the north. TV reception was really bad when I got home from work I was flipping through the channels. PBS normally came in extremely well but this particular night there was a lot of static on the screen, ....this is predigital TV.
I fired up the computer and went to the website solar terrestrial dispatch.
They have three sets of stoplights and a graph for high medium and low latitudes. It goes from yellow to a dark red almost black.
High medium and low latitudes were all nearly black. I threw the camera and tripod in the truck and skedaddled out to find some place that had no fog. I could tell it was there but it was much easier to see from the long exposures that I took. I can't remember if it was 400 speed film or possibly a slide I don't remember.
You can see the red glow in the pictures and you could also see the stars in the sky. Some people thought it was a sunset but it was taken at about 11:00 at night.
I'll see if I can dig the photos up. I might have to turn my phone into a Wi-Fi hotspot in order to use the laptop. The photos aren't terribly exciting the only exciting part is that I actually saw it way down here on the Southern Oregon coast.

Some in Virginia say they were turned away from the polls for not wearing a mask.
If Virginia has a mask mandate, why would people not be turned away from polls for not wearing masks?? Their advice is to follow current CDC guidelines, which at the moment are for vaccinated and non-vaccinated people alike to continue to wear masks in settings where high transmission is possible. I would then presume that a gathering place where the general population are congregating en masse would meet the conditions they are referring to.

They don't have a statewide mandate.
