At what point do the people of Portland wake up and realize that not having police is the problem.

Portland Oregon's mayor, City council, and please commissioner have literally declared war on police officers.
Now that the police have quit and the violence has escalated to an unbelievable level the mayor is trying to get police to come back and offering them a $25,000 signing bonus. Sounds like he made a mistake but is not willing to say that in actual words. If I was a police officer, $25,000 bucks but sure as he'll not drag me to Portland.

I don't know what makes people go that crazy. I could never in my wildest dreams think of a reason to just go out and shoot people it's just... hard to imagine what goes on inside someone's head to make them do something like that.

There are usually warning signs for people like that. My wife's nephew strangled rabbits at age 2, at 3 he crushed a baby bird in his hands and laughed. At 10, he set the prosecutors office on fire because he was put on probation for stealing. I think the world got lucky. At 14 he was paralyzed from the waist down in a car wreck. Otherwise, I expected him to be a serial killer.

Just as we’re all fat because we didn’t evolve to eat a steady diet of ****, we also didn’t evolve to deal with the stresses and pressure of modern day society and this is what that sudden change looks like.

Maybe his parents took away his cel phone for a week. How much stress is a teenager expected to deal with these days?
