I hope that doesn't happen over here because my friend just finished building a 1996 Dodge two-wheel drive pickup. He installed a new cam a new high performance head and a pretty big turbocharger. Prior to doing this he spent $1,600 on a new torque converter and another 1600 worth of performance parts for his transmission.
The truck is currently at a friend's shop getting fine tuned. He's having the windows tended tomorrow so he'll have the truck in his possession again by Sunday.
The guys that tuned up the truck took it out on the highway as part of their test and tune and they took a video of the speedometer. It was showing 60 miles per hour and within about a second and a half the needle was pointing almost straight down.
He's figuring about 1,250 lb of torque. He sandblasted the frame and painted it then did a flawless dark green paint job on it and put some black wheels on it too.
It's going to be a sleeper like none other. I can't wait to take a ride in it.
