When Bill Maher and Ben Chapiro agree, it's time to get past "opinions" and recognize fact.
Bill is too far left for me, but when he speaks on some topics, he's dead on.
In all fairness Ben is too far right for me, but even when I disagree with him, he's often right and I just won't admit it. 😁

Wikipedia has a breakdown on school shootings since 1840.

From 1840 to 2000, there were 241 deaths from school shootings.

From 2000 to today, there have been 181 deaths from school shootings (including yesterday's terrible event).

So in total, in a country that now has 350 million people, and in 1840 had a population of 17 million, there have been 422 people that have died in school shootings in 182 years of recorded history.

Today in the USA, there are more than 50 million school students.

Obviously NO ONE wants to see anyone die like this, however we have to look at the macro statistics.

Nutcases will always exist and it's almost impossible to stop them prior to their evil deed. Dying in a school shooting is ULTRA RARE in this country.

We need to put some perspective on this because these situations always get sensationalized by certain political factions.

To put this in perspective, 549 people died from corona virus...yesterday.

If the school shooting problem was solved by keeping the doors locked once the school day began and having a police presence at schools........
...then what would be their big excuse for taking away everyone's guns?
......sorry, I'm just thinking like a democrat with an agenda.
The Texas school had left the door unlocked and there was no guard. The original story was wrong. Border patrol agents got the shooter.

What is he smoking? Kids just got massacred and O tweets about Floyd? WTF?
A wee bit inappropriate?
Can you imagine being one of those parents, expecting compassion, then reading that? 😖

How about they give you a parking permit if you look for and find work within the next 30 days. Job offerings are still in abundance, right?
Washington State, surprise surprise.

I don’t think what they are doing is such a bad idea. Homeless people aren’t going anywhere and arresting them just burdens the system. Gotta house and feed em. Gotta clothe em. Gotta provide health care for em. Jail may even be an upgrade for some so where is the punishment.

Issuing permits brings about rules and regulations. Now you can begin to control the situation. Kinda like steering into a slide. Even though you lost control, you’re still trying to remain in control and prevent an accident. Now you can control who can do what and where can they do it. It’s like a HOA for the indigent. Just because you have nothing doesn’t mean they won’t try and take it from you. How long until you can start charging rent or some other kind of fees.

Personally I think we should bring back the poor farms.
