Shoot, I’m gonna retire in Mexico. I’ll have the whole place to myself by the time I get there.

Lately I feel like I am retired, I do not want to work and have a hard time getting going before 7:30 these days or working past 3. Its glorious!

Try 10:00 to 3:00.... It's almost like driving. 10:00 to 2:00 is for conformists.

That’s what workin in NC was like for me. Start at 8 and gone by 3. It was wonderful. I had my whole morning routine and it wasn’t rushed. I felt as if that’s how life should be. None of this gotta hurry up or you gotta be done with the job by a certain time BS. If you didn’t finish up Friday, I’ll see you Monday to finish. I’m startin to think @highup had it figured out a long time ago with his bankers hours.

Some guys beat themselves to death thinking they're still 18 and they work till they can't move, then they wished they had slowed down.

Kind of where I'm at at 77, but if I stop I will fold up into a pile, I just do binding now but it keeps me active.

Oh you definitely don't want to come to a complete stop. Keep moving till you can't, but no need to be the top dog.

I worked a lot of 16 hour days, 6 days a week. And I am not in good shape.

i worked a lot of 16 hour+ days and for about 5 years I went 7 days a week. I can speak from experience at the ripe old age of 37.... I am broken. It was a mistake and I refuse to do it any longer.
I hope I can heal myself.

The last ten years that I worked, I only worked 4 days a week. But it was too late. I installed for over 40 years.
That last 10 years I had 4 small apt complexes and two house flippers. They were all stuff I could do by myself and they were willing to wait for me.

In the '70s we had a fantastic governor. I will call him using the words don't californicate Oregon.
