No, they lied on purpose. At times they have claimed 5 people died. The only death was Ashley Babbit, an unarmed woman who was murdered by a cop.
I have to agree with Rusty on this. That entire J6 witch-hunt will go down as one of the worst, botched investigations, and unfair media influencing in American history.
A guy I know, who lives here, was invited in and got 18 months. He is a locksmith and has a family.
Just to boil down my thinking.
I have no issue with arresting anyone who caused any damage, but let's make sure the penalty matches the crime. I also want to know ALL the players, including the planted ANTIFA, the planted CIA, the planted FBI, and whether or not they were responsible for baiting the peace keepers into pushing forward. This should all be investigated publicly, and not destroy the evidence as was done on the J6 investigation.

My pre pardon video shows it's certainly common on one side of the aisle. They brought up the issue questioning the audacity of Trump pre pardoning and how horrible that would be. Trump didn't pre pardon because his family thought that would be an admission of guilt.
Not a lot of outrage from those same people now that Biden did what Trump didn't .

Absolutely. Vandalism and violence aren't OK on either side, but like you said, punishment matches the crime

Strong words and attitudes leave no room for compromise and I know you and others know that, but IMHO I thought it was worth a reminder and invite you to think about choosing a different approach.
In a world where decisions and actions often need to be made quickly, mistakes are made by all people, and they are not always done on purpose. We cannot tell when it’s done on purpose we could perhaps surmise from facial features and language used but really deep down. It’s virtually impossible to see inside a person to know their intentions. Would you agree or disagree?
I know you know all this, I guess I’m confused about a person who has read the Bible twice, and taught children Bible study, but speaks no words of forgiveness and understanding for his fellow man. I trust that you have forgiveness in your heart, but just choose not to demonstrate because of a false interpretation ( IMHO) of stoicism. However, it would be nice if such a valued trait would be shared for the common good of all members of this forum. As an administrator of said forum, who probably took some sort of oath to be neutral enough to invite dissenting free-speech, but then makes no effort to do so. Perhaps such provocative language is done on purpose to provoke ? I just went to a place that I swore I would never go to, but this is what happens when we mentor to each other such hard language and we don’t interject flexibility into the world at large. My days here are numbered, If I don’t recognize any change, I wonder if the owners on this forum feel the same and if the owners care.

This is a political debate section. You are free to read, comment, or ignore what is posted. In fact, I have the tools to remove you even responding in this section if feelings get hurt.
I have known the owner for 20+ years. I do this purely as a volunteer, and if I am out of line, I would expect him to ban me if I cross the line. My job here is to create dialog, and provide our members a place to share your thoughts openly. Of course, I am always available to a private talk, or report something that is obviously crossing the line.
Honestly, if you would like to send me a PM, I would be glad to discuss anything with you privately. Just click on my avatar, click on the "start a conversation" and add anyone else you'd like to add to the conversation.
The same for me on all of this. I was asked by the owner to be an admin when he started this forum. No one has ever tried to stop you from posting your opinions. Just as we are allowed to post ours.

Or better yet ‘ freedom of expression’ from the founding fathers, is that they’re asking more of us than just expressing ourselves and our opinions. ( Would you agree) And , what could that ‘ ASK’ sound like ? ….It’s my belief they are asking us to be receptive to one another, not silently, but rather most importantly out loud for all to hear. This is the back-and-forth that keeps us united even in differences. Do we really want to stifle this process that was engineered into the declaration of independence ?
So! when I continually read posts over and over again, in my humble opinion, that neglect to follow this intended purpose of incorporating receptiveness towards different views and we both continue to spout off absolutes in a world of uncertainty, then I become discouraged about finding compromise with fellow man and that makes me discouraged.
You seem to think that you can please everyone. There are some people, like Joe Biden, who are only concerned for themselves. Havasu and I know that some people are just evil. At this time, the leaders of the Democrat party are evil. They don't care what they do to kids especially, but everyone to some degree. They will never agree that anyone else is right. They think that mutilating children is ok. Many of those children regret the mutilation when they are older. Many Democrats think that abortion is ok until birth. We are tired of trying to compromise. I can't compromise with people who send drag queens in to read to first graders.
What I want to know is Who gets to shoot people through a window ? The police can’t. I don’t get to, if a crazy monster is outside my window no I can’t . BUT if you’re a chicken $hit capitol police you get to shoot women dead and get an award for it

Gender dysphoria was recognized as a mental illness until a few years ago.
