Saw the All Star game in Kansas City, July 24, 1973. I was working for a guy who had played minor league ball with Ralph Houk. Houk pulled some strings and got me tickets, We sat about 4 rows back behind home plate. The tickets cost $8.00 each. Back several years before, I went to a K.C. A's game against the Yankees and saw Mantle play. Watched Brett play a couple times. Have not been to a game in many years,

When the boys were little, I used to take them to our local A division team, the San Jose Giants. They had a blast, got foul balls, autographs after the game. Ticket prices went from the 5 dollar bucket seats, to 3 dollar bleacher seats; The cheap seats didn't extend much past the 1st and 3d base lines. Saw a couple cool firework shows. If we had waited to when we could afford to watch the Big Boys play, we'd of never seen a game.
I've only been to a few Minor League games. There's a team in Ranch Cucamunga (sp?) the Little League sent us free tickets for the teams but way back when the Red Sox had a farm team in Bristol, CT just a short ride from where I lived. What's great is the smaller stadiums and you're much closer up to the players and the game. Very fun and mellow those days.

Rancho Cucamonga Quakes? I was the pyrotechnition for their fireworks shows in years past. Great fun. Box seats are $12, hot dogs are $3, beer is $6. Great fun. It's about 15 minutes away from me.

Quite a few years ago I was in the Philadelphia airport. I had an hour layover. I went into the bar and they must have had 30 beers on tap. I had a Bodingtons ( spelling?) . The woman asked what size, I said a big one. The beer had to be 48 oz. I had to hold the mug with both hands.
I drank the whole thing, got in the plane and had to piss beforehand plane tool off. I held it all the way to Albany.
I havenā€™t had a beer in 21 months šŸ˜³

I drank two beers last week. First I had in years. It doesn't mix with my meds.

At first maybe 15 lbs.
I thought the weight would fall off.

Yeah, the Quakes! The Little League I coached at went to a game every year with the kids and parents. It's been a while. It's not much more than 30 minutes from where I live..........excepting during rush hour.
