Epoxy flake for restaurant kitchen

Must it be applied with their equipment?
I'm curious if a pair of skilled DIYers could pull this off with with 5 gallon pails and a paint or mixing paddles.

The super seal yes, the base coat and finish maybe. The primer is mixed by bucket and the product can but it sets fast. When I do that on small jobs I mix 16oz at a time and still waste some. With two people it would be better but even with the slow formulation it's fast. I don't do anything bigger than 90 sf by hand. I'll fill the machine over that.

I do like Smith products, they sent me trial products to try. Prep is grinding the slab first on alot of them.
