Wish he was here to tell me how to make cement shoes that fit my computers.Glad to see you back. Don't know that any of us are smart enough to help you. Nick was the computer expert.
I know. He moved into his brother's house and said there was new rules. I asked, no booze or strippers? He said, well no strippers anyway....Man, I miss him.Wish he was here to tell me how to make cement shoes that fit my computers.
Several of us had been friends with him for 10 years or more. We had even talked to him on the phone. Never got to meet him. Thanks, Rusty. Even if he hadn't given me computer advice, I'd still miss Nick. I only knew him from the internet but it still made me cry. I know it must have hit his family and longterm friends very hard.
The chassis my mother is getting has metal screens inside to keep bugs out. Hopefully it will also keep mice out, but my friend is going to check to make sure there are no openings for them.
I talked to him several times and even made him a custom rug of a golfer with his last name on it. He also bailed us out several times with comfuser problems.Several of us had been friends with him for 10 years or more. We had even talked to him on the phone. Never got to meet him.
This place for me, made "cyber friends' real. We've all developed pretty good friendships even tho we haven't met. I think we all cried Zan. Just wasn't right. We're supposed to live forever. Thanks, Rusty. Even if he hadn't given me computer advice, I'd still miss Nick. I only knew him from the internet but it still made me cry. Nick had been on disability for years. His diabetes was bad. He also had arthritis. Is that why he was up? I thought he just had odd sleeping habits.
Only one I met in person was Tandy Reeves. He died not long after. Could tell he was sick when I met him.I agree highup Probably have known of Nick for 20 odd years from flooring installer.com days and used to speak with Nick every couple of weeks. I have meet a few people at Surfaces over the years, Daris, Barry, Roland. Met Selva at Memphis or Nashville. Still hear from Selva every now and then
I got to get one more trip to Surfaces before I toss this flooring game away. Should make an effort to see that guy the Hippy on the Rocks fella. Even spoken to highup on the phone along with Rusty. Much make an effort again but with our time differences it makes it hard to work out a time. Nick would ring me when he had to get up in the night for his diabetics
Yeah, still sucks that he went through chemo & then went so fast. But, I agree that it's better than lingering & suffering. That was one of the consolations with my father's death. I mean, he did have injuries & illnesses that he suffered from, but he died so suddenly before things could get even worse. I've had friends in the past who were doing well, got cancer, & died in a short amount of time. About a week after my father passed, an elderly friend (91-yrs-old) died of cancer he'd only had a short time. Another friend died within 3 weeks of finding out his throat cancer was back. This place for me, made "cyber friends' real. We've all developed pretty good friendships even tho we haven't met. I think we all cried Zan. Just wasn't right. We're supposed to live forever.
On the bright side ...............I suppose fast is better then slow and strung out. Wasn't that long ago he discovered he had cancer.
If I win the Powerball........... where do y'all want to meet up?
Jon likes Antarctica. .......just a thought.
