My favorite part of carpet jobs was the stairs. I loved doing upholstered steps. That’s gold right there.
Waterfall upholstered or Hollywood style? My favorite part of carpet jobs was the stairs. I loved doing upholstered steps.

I was self taught. Went from bottom up. All the old guys went from top down and carpet was always loose.I feel the same way. There’s a lot of detail and it’s all right there in front of you. Nothing is hidden behind a couch or somewhere out of sight so you have to be on your A game. I think that’s why I love building out trailers. Theres a lot of detail in a relatively small space.
That was over the top irreverently funny, if that makes any sense …, I hope they left reverence at the door, so they could enjoy his craziness.Ricky is so good.
It would have come out better if they had laughed along with him. That was over the top irreverently funny, if that makes any sense …, I hope they left reverence at the door, so they could enjoy his craziness.
I. was taught to go from the top down, let me tell you they weren't by no means loose. We even turned both sides under on solid steps.I was self taught. Went from bottom up. All the old guys went from top down and carpet was always loose.
Technique my man, technique. It's all in the wrist.I fixed many a loose stair-tooled step through the years. Kicked-on was much tighter.
If you were to do that job again, would you do the stairs separately? In Daris's case, centuries.
Thats it pick on the old man. I was taught top down, no kicker. I paid off once. I installed a L shaped upper hall and steps in one piece, it was a pattern.
No!! But the job failed as a certain pattern was susposed to be in the middle of the steps which I didn't know about. I went by what was told on the drawing, where to start etc. The store owners wife and I got into it and I told her take me to court, I have the proof in the drawing. End of that account, but I did get paid for it.If you were to do that job again, would you do the stairs separately?
