That’s crazy. Couldn’t imagine what that would be like to live there even if the fire didn’t hit my house personally. Just think of how many people besides the millionaire homeowners that are affected. The rich people will simply move somewhere else. It’s the local working class people that are hosed.

The closest fire is about 20 miles away currently. Fortunately, the smoke is blowing away from us, so we are under blue shies. The winds hit us hard and I now have a pool that looks like mud, but a quick filter wash will fix it. I lost my 10' x 20' car canopy, but just ordered a replacement at Costco for $79. I still have a tree down on the street in front of me, but it is low on the priority list for the city to come clean it up. I also have a bent garage door, but it is just the support rail at the bottom. I'll try to get a replacement rail which should only be a few hundred to repair. Yes, we had 80-100 mph winds that got pretty scary.

Aside from any property damage, how affected by this are you? Power out? Have to drive further for gas, groceries and other necessities?
