Lighting in the marsh this morning was pretty interesting. There were several Great Blue Herons fishing in one of the lagoons...
They are rare, but we occasionally get a blue heron here. With three lakes in town, we see many birds.

My Mom's birthday is tomorrow...her and my wife usually celebrate together, but this year mom decided she just wants to go out to lunch tomorrow. We're still on vacation so I'll probably get up early and go for my walk and then come back and go to lunch with everyone assuming it's not raining that is...

Nice one. Up until our little heat wave, we've had some steady winds 10 to 18 mph, so if I had a shot like that, there'd be little whitecaps on the water and blurry flowers.
That's the biggest Bambi I've ever seen looks almost full grown. That said, we have blacktails.
Was actually only about two feet tall...I think it was just the angle I was shooting from that makes it look bigger. Not really much to give a comparative sense of size in the photo either.
