waterproof landing flooring

The entrance to my house consists of a few steps leading to a small landing (45" x72") with the front door of the house. The landing is exposed to the elements.
Since under the landing is my basement, I wonder what floor can I put on this landing, so that it is waterproof? (Currently there is a pressure treated plywood covered by a worn-out outdoor capret and I would like to replace it by something nicer and more durable.)

What's your budget?

There's lots of choices given enough money.

Sealing over the ply creates issues with moisture. Even pressure treated lumber will rot eventually under dampness and no air flow. What sort of shape is that ply in?

Ceramic tile or stone seems like the obvious answer. Am I missing something?

Sheet vinyl is simple. Maybe even cove it up the walls. Is there a taper to the landing so water naturally rolls away from the door.

It was a mistake.......long term to put the outdoor carpet on this EXTERIOR landing. The way I picture it there's no roof or walls. It's a few steps to the main front entry "landing" setting outside the structure of the home but for whatever unconventional design the landing is wood framed above a basement of some sort.

I'm thinking any and all recommendations should apply 100% to what you might use as LANDSCAPING...............bricks, stone, concrete........there are rubber products on the HIGH END that work well as walk off mats or sport surfaces . We put them around golf courses, country clubs, yacht club/marina environments.

I'm thinking about the rubber and turf surfaces I recently had installed at a Child Day Care Center outdoor playground. It's vert expensive but incredibly durable and attractive.

Well maybe and although it does sound like an architectural faux pas I’d like to hope if it’s a plywood sub floor, previously carpeted, and over a basement there are walls and a roof involved. A small covered porch perhaps. Either way I’d still say ceramic or stone with a matching base pitched away from the house would be the smartest, easiest way to keep that basement dry. It’s only 4 X 6. Maybe even a rubber liner if ya wanna get carried away. An outdoor shower pan of sorts.
