Can't compete with a new grandchild, but made a low calorie dinner last night. Baked marinated chicken thighs and veggies...oh, and fattening chiabata rolls.

Went out for breakfast today and got the special. Steak (MR), eggs over hard (cus runny yolk is nasty), taters, toast, a fruit n yogurt cup and a side of bacon for the dog. Even had a couple shots of Bailey’s in my coffee! Sounds like a lot but it felt just right.

If you think about it Saturday morning steak is just prime rib that was cooked Friday. Still had that peppery bark on it. Mmm mmm.

They had Edwards chocolate cream pies on sale for $5.99 yesterday...... yeah, I kinda had to. 🫣
Pie, it's not just for breakfast anymore. 😁
A mom and pop bakery delivers pies to the truck stop every Wednesday. They even have sugar-free for the diabetics. Some customers sit out there and wait for the delivery.
Best place around here to eat. A full breakfast, 2 eggs, sausage or bacon, hash browns or home fries, 2 pieces of toast (white, wheat or rye) is $7.79. Add a bowl of gravy for $1.25. Neverending coffee is 95 cents.
On Veteran's Day, veterans eat free.

Never heard of it.
Looked it up. It is a wide spot in the road, population 25 near St Robert. Not far from Ft. Leonard Wood. (fort lost in the woods, Misery)

The fudge is good. I’ve gotten it as a gift before but not this big of a package. It’s dangerous, nobody needs that much fudge. I’m in trouble cus I can’t have this kind of stuff just hanging around in the house.

$3.99 whole roasted chicken shreds up for a bunch of cheap sandwich making goodness.
Fred Meyer, a Kroger store does this fairly often.
