Driving home tonight, I see an old
man ( like me 😜) hobbling up a snow covered sidewalk. I thought 🤔somebody better pick him up, he’s never gonna make it. At the next light a voice said
… “ if it’s to be, then it’s up to me” 😇 … O-crap! …I wanted home quickly, but double backed anyway, hoping someone else got him, they didn’t 🤣

Put the four-ways on, helped him in, dropped him to the market. Guess what for? toothpaste, and dental floss during a snow storm 😜🤣 I park in the handicap spot and waited to take him home to complete the good deed. 👍

Good man!

Sadly I have no good deeds to claim this week.

I can't quite compete with that.... no damsel's in distress, no nothin'
....wait, I tightened the last bolt on my buddies steering column yesterday, so he can reinstall the trim now.

I donated the 'vintage' 6" Craftsman belt sander I bought from Habitat back to them. It needed a much bigger motor and it just took up too much space. I had taken it totally apart, de-rusted it, painted it, rotated the bushings and put in a new main drive shaft to eliminate slop.....
Naw, I didn't see me coming up with a 3hp motor anytime soon.... so I dropped it off Wednesday afternoon and it was already gone Thursday at noon. I hope they made more $$$ than I lost. 🤣

My brother and I were going over to start working on this today. The final touches at a local, historical theatre. They have been restoring it for 10 years I suppose. The balcony stair runners are pretty much the last thing.
Work interruptus today:

It's been really rainy, and steady wind +gusts happening today and tonight.
As I backed out, I noticed a corner portion of my neighbors fence about to fall over.
The wind wasn't going to stop today, maybe not until tomorrow? 🤔
My neighbors grandson lives with her but works 30 miles from town all week. She had a dog that she lets loose in the back yard...... for business purposes.
I canceled the start of my stair project and drove into town to visit the hardware store.
It ain't fancy, but it will buy time to figure out a real fix.
I made a temporary holderUpNow with a piece of 1x3 pine and a metal strap and a stake in the ground.
I think it will hold till a fix can be figured out. At least Zack can work all week and not worry about the dog running loose.
I didn't get a before, so you only get the after.
It would make Red Green proud. 😁

If they don’t find you handsome they should at least find you handy!

Heading down the road after checking my mailbox, I drove past a friend place. She worked at the bank with my brothers ex about 35 years ago. She works with an architect now.
There was a large shattered fir tree branch across the driveway. I figured they could get the gate open, but no way drive around or over it. If it was still storming and raining..... It wouldn't have been fun for her to get out and deal with it. Anyway, I moved the branch and related schapnel off to the side of the driveway.....this is a little rural road a couple miles from town.
I felt pretty good today 😇
The stairs could wait as there aren't any plays happnin', but they are practicing for Oliver in an adjoining area next to the balcony.
Small towns are cool. Everybody knows somebody that knows somebody that knows a friend of your best friends brothers wife's parents.
Lynn, my neighbor...... We went to kindergarten together. Small town. 16,000😁
