BTW, on my last cruise, I griped about the extremely slow internet speed and they credited me twice the amount of minutes I paid for. Just food for thought.

Yesterday we were at Murmansk Russia with the warmest day we have had since we left

Been spending my weekends looking for that elusive gold! Good friends have a 60 acre patented claim, in the middle of the Klamath National Forest, Salmon River, California. 5700 ft. elevation. The mill was built three years ago and we've been running it this summer. It's a hard rock claim, meaning it's still in vein form and you have to dig it out with an excavator. We haul it to the mill in a little dump truck and process it. Haven't found much yet, an occasional pocket of the yellow stuff. Hoping for the big one soon, like so many others. If it was easy to find, it wouldn't worth much I guess. Lots of fun looking though.
First picture is the mill. At top is a jaw crusher you run the ore through, then it goes through an impact mill turning the ore to moon dust. Then it runs over the Miller table where most gold is collected. Below that is an old machine that catches the very finest gold. Sometimes we're smiling and sometimes we're scratching our heads at the end of a run.
Second picture is my cabin I stay in while there. Kind of a nice view.
When we hit it, I'll have some pictures for you.

Its about the worst I have seen. It looks like one of those places where you could buy ladies of the night even though I have been in one only been told about. Thinking the whole ship is kinda like that as compared to other ships e have been on

I'm out there 3 days a week and hate it when I have to leave. When the snow starts to fly, you'd have to leave. It usually gets 8-10 feet. He does have a snow cat you could use.

Yes you did, and it was great. An amazing individual. Takes big kahonies to do what he did. He wasn't that young either. Salmon River area is VERY remote. They still have crank phones in some houses. Kinda like Deliverance in some places. A Banjo here and there.
