WE are trying. Broke the fever Thursday around noon, but feel like shit since. Karen is still in the hospital and thinking she will be there a couple more day. They took a urine sample for a culture and that takes 3 days for it to grow, What a fricking week. Our daughter has been our Florence Nightinggale but I'm afraid she is coming down with it. Coughing and hacking last night. Can't stop the nose from running, have went through 3-4 boxes of kleenex since all this started. Drink lots of liquids and wash hands when you get the chance. This shit isn't any fun at all.
Sounds like this virus going around but I cant see any chance of you both catching that unless you have been traveling the world or being close to someone who has traveled recently

That just sucks, Daris. I feel so lucky not having caught a flu for 20 or more years. Lasted just a few days but I was tired for a week longer.

I was in the post office the other day & started coughing. I looked around and said "Don't worry, I haven't been to China recently". Not everyone got it-- apparently they don't watch or read the news. The postal clerk helpfully pointed out that a lot the packages he'd been handling came from China. LOL.
I got a call from my friend early this afternoon- his "new" car stopped running while he was driving. O2 sensor went out on it. The power steering belt broke and cut the wire for the sensor. So, he got a new O2 sensor, new belt, wires, etc. I stayed with him and helped him while he worked on it and made sure his car could make it out of the driveway. He made it to work just fine, but on the way home his car stopped running. Computer reader thingy said it was the O2 sensor. Got the motor secured so it isn't wobbling anymore & bumping the belt so the belt was in place, but not sure why the sensor went out. It's under warranty, but something must be causing it to blow. He was 3 hours late for work, so he has to go to work 3 hours earlier tomorrow. My brother said he can continue to borrow his truck.
Weird thing is, at the exact time his car stopped, I had an anxiety dream about it breaking down and woke up. I messaged him and he told me it didn't make it home & he was waiting on a towtruck to get it to his house. It was an "As is" sale, but I don't know if he has any recourse to get a refund from the seller given that the seller lied to him (in texts) that nothing was wrong with it. The guy had to have known about at least some of the issues.
