Discount tire.

Got some Cooper Discoverers. Supposed to have a 55k warranty. I’ll believe that when I see it. I’ll be happy jus to get a year out of them. 35k? I only got 20k out of my BFG’s weight in the van and heat really eats up tires.

Tossed and turned again last night. Feeling a bit better today. Still can't bend well, but it doesn't hurt to walk. Although, when Mom paged me to get her something to eat I reached for the phone and pain shot through my shoulder and down to my elbow. So the shoulder is still not any better but the kidney stones have moved.
I cooked something for Mom, did a brief wipedown of the counters and inside the microwave, and then helped mom fix a computer problem. Windows forced another update. She has settings to say never update but they force it anyway. This latest iteration somehow affected her BIOS and changed the boot order. Her primary SSD was set as the #3 in boot order instead of #1. Now, if Windows didn't do it, maybe the BIOS changed itself by not detecting her drive at first and then setting it last when it did detect it. I googled how to enter BIOS and what the issue was. Watched a video for a few seconds that said to use Ctrl Alt Del from error message screen (saying she needed to insert a boot disk) and then F2 when rebooting (differs by machine). Got her into BIOS and walked her through checking the boot order and changing it to select her SSD as the #1. Exited, saved & reset so it finally booted.

Starting work on putting up drywall in garage. Need to finish walls so I can put up window treatments. Got Levolor 2 inch blinds for basement windows. I have some blue/grey paint for trim. I’ll paint walls a pale gray to tie it all together.

My daughter's USB phone charger in her car quit. So she went to Auto Zone. They pulled the fuse block under the hood and triggered the kill switch. Then would not reset the check engine light. So she called me. While I am driving there a mechanic pulled in next to her. He changed the under dash fuse and used a scanner to kill the light. He would not take any money. There are still some good people out there.

This is what it looks like when you run out of drywall, lol. I needed to get a piece next to the window because the casing will cover the taped joint. Using Fibafuse tape. Much better than paper. Excess mud squeezed through so no chance of bubbles. Going to put drywall around most of garage but leaving the subpanel and plumbing clear. Why they put the water main in an unheated area I have no clue. But there is heat ‘leakage’ over the top of the dividing wall so it never goes below 45. Feather joints tomorrow. Then time to break out the primer.

No more fun can be had than hanging drywall and taping seams. 😁

I think I got my front end work done.
The truck pulls slightly to the right before I replace the worn out a arm bushings and the ball joint.
...... The truck still pulls lightly to the right. 😁
On the bright side, the wheel stands up straight now instead of tilting. The new brakes stop well but this pedal still seems a bit low. I'm guessing that's because the back brakes probably need to be done also. I've never even looked at them because......
...Because I'm scared to look. 😲
For some reason I figure I'm going to end up spending 200 bucks to do those
To tighten up the upper a arm nuts, I needed a 15/16 box and wrench. Also needed another quart of brake fluid to finish bleeding the lines and the brakes. I got an email from O'Reilly's today saying that I had a $20 credit coupon. Cool 👍
All I had to do was spend more than $20. So I went down and picked up my $13 wrench, some brake fluid and a tube of $6 silicone brake grease. Cost me a whopping $4 and change.
2 days ago they sent me a $5 coupon. I haven't used that one yet. I think they like me. 😉
Anyway I took the day off today to get this front end and brake job finished. Clean up afterwards was a pile of wrenches this big. (Holding both hands arms length like a lying fisherman)
Three air wrenches, 75 combination wrenches, 573 1/2" sockets, 2 torque wrenches, 13 C clamps, and 291 3/8" sockets. I used 7 tubs of wheel bearing grease, 25 cans of brakekleen, 2 gallons of lacquer thinner, half a pallet of paper towels and 4 small dabs of silicone brake grease.

The new to me front wheel spindle came in yesterday. After cleaning it off it almost looked like brand new with all the original machine marks still on it. Nothing was worn at all.
The brake calipers are held on with two bolts. This new to me wheel spindle had some rusted and gunked up threads in them and the new bolts would not go in. I took an old bolt I made three slices in it. It acted like a thread chasing tap. Worked like a charm.

The garage is all exposed insulation so in order to hang blinds, I don’t have much choice. Bot it’s actually going pretty quick. The area around the door is exposed, including around light switch.
need new multitool and a new stationary sander. Might see if Harbor Freight or look at Ryobi. I like the Hercules brand.

Not having my pick up working has cost me a week's worth of work. Decided to work yesterday to get a start on a carpet job in a duplex. I did one unit about a year ago and this one is a reverse floor plan. The first unit was remodeled then the tenant moved into that one and this is nearing completion of being remodeled. The handyman that installed the vinyl plank in the first unit did a terrible job. I was told someone else will be doing this second unit....... Nope, same guy did this one. 😲

I made the same mistake on the stairs threshold from landing to lower set of stairs. Put 3 nails in. Should have used PL Premium. After I realized what I did, went shopping for a new piece. $60. I’ll live with it.

Stopped at the store to get the proper lunch a little bit 'o. Couple pieces of cheese a pint of chocolate milk and five nature valley protein bars.
I don't know if five is the usual number of bars in each box for this company. I open it up and something looked wrong so I looked on the front. Im guessing that an employee said hey you want to make an extra 20% on this product and someone OK'd the idea.
I think I'll write them a letter. There's still room in there for a toy.
