Finished up the laundry room today and the customer says he wants to clean out the dryer vent before I put it back. Don’t know why I’ve never thought of this before but he blasted his leaf blower through the pipe. Brilliance! He says you just have to make sure you don’t have any kind of bird screen at the exit point otherwise all the lint will just get stuck.

My dryer vent is only about 8 inches clear sailing, I just jam my arm in there but I can see how this would be brilliant

A lot of the dryer vents here go up through the roof. Ours is the same way. I went and bought the brush with the flexible shafts to clean my vent then shoved the shop vac hose up it to suck up whatever didn’t get pushed out. Sounds like a whole lot of nonsense compared to a quick shot with a leaf blower. Now my house in NC and the house before that I just put a hole right behind the dryer and it’s a straight shot out through the wall. Pretty sure I’m never gonna have to worry about cleaning it as long as I live.

Hell I got holes in things for just about everything.
Plumbed lines in my living room to syphon and fill my aquarium, the salt mixing barrel was in my mud room so I would pump it under the house to the living room then I had a syphon line attached that drained into the back yard.
My dehumidifiers are just "plumbed" into the floor and drain into the French drains in my crawl space
The laser cutter got a nice big 6 inch line into a piece of acrylic that replaced the window in my mud room
The aircon gets blown out the chimney
Hot water tank has been moved so many times I think I have more drain holes than floor at this point.
I am still working on convincing my wife it is important to install a urinal.. not sure where to plumb that to yet.

You're correct. This car was built by Metalworks, in Eugene, Oregon. Here is a video of the build.

The images passed by so quickly I reduce the speed to 50% so it took a long time to watch this. Those guys are incredible.
I had to skip back because of the speed of the images. I noticed one of the guys was wearing a sweatshirt that said Foose on it.
You know someone is good when they look up to that name.
I'm sure your friend is familiar with Chip Foose, but for that build, your friend would probably pay another $150,000.
This is a car that chip Foose built from the ground up. Not an existing car. He dreamed up, designed this car and build it from thin air.
I love to hear what this one cost.


Your friend is a lucky man to have such a fantastic build. I would much rather spend that much money on that car than buy an equivalent brand new Ferrari for Lamborghini.... Mercedes for whatever. Brand new expensive cars means other people can have the exact same car.
There's only one of these Chevys and is freaking cool.
The only question I have after watching this is.
Did the shop actually make money doing this? I mean really, I can't even estimate the price of all the parts that the shop purchased let alone the labor. After watching the video the price actually seems cheap.

Well, went to the Doctor. After 3 iron infusions, my level is 12.6, normal is 13 to 17. Still much better than the 7.9 that I was.

Is it because of your diet or can you just not absorb iron.
I haven't even been to the doctor's office for any reason for 25 years. That was because I got an infection in my finger and needed some heavy duty antibiotics. Prior to that, the last time I was a doctor might have been in high school.
I feel pretty lucky about that. That said I don't know my calcium level my iron level my glucose level......
.....or if I'm ever level. I often wonder if it's better that I don't know.

That laundry room looks nice! When we redo the laundry room I'm going to have the vent directly out through the wall and it will be short. I do plan to put bird screen up because of wasps & other bugs but I'm hoping it will be easy to remove for cleaning and I'll just have to go to the side of the house outside to access it.

If they do take FB down, I'll need to backup all of my private messages and such first. I completely missed the outage because I wasn't checking FB at all. I checked it later and saw all sorts of memes about it. Other than the messenger feature, I don't think I would miss it much. I barely use it since it takes so damn long to load and my text lags when I'm trying to type. I will attempt to type a few sentences. Nothing happens. I tab out to look at something else for several minutes, come back and see my text finally displayed and then I can correct typos.

CJ, only problem with going outside (for men) is mosquitoes. When Mom was in the bathroom the other day, my brother decided to go pee behind my truck and mosquitoes were eating him up.

Mom did not want to go into town yesterday to go to the insurance company about the check they wrote to her & then refused to let the bank deposit it. She also lost the new insurance cards for the truck so I have to get re-prints. She actually started trying to blame me for how cluttered and messy her desk is. I have tried to get her some organizers but she's refused. Her desk is like a nest but she doesn't understand why mice are getting on it and chewing stuff.

Since our favorite restaurant is closed on Tuesdays, my brother and i will be going to Sams on Wednesday and Thursday I'll be holing up in my room and not coming out until Friday. I have notoriously bad luck on my birthday so I'm not taking chances. I've already asked my brother to cook for Mom on Thursday.

I managed to get to sleep before 11pm (was too tired to stay up to watch the various halloween wars/baking stuff) and woke up around 7. I saw that Mom is awake too-- female cardinal has been throwing herself at the window again.

Rusty, sending virtual hugs your way. I hope they can do something about your kidneys or find some way to supplement without needles.
