Sorry to hear that Rusty. Sadly, around here many people have come to hate the cops (and not bc of BLM or anything-- its bc the local cops harass people, refuse to do their jobs, and are incompetent).
I have more redneck drama tales. My friend's ex has almost all of her stuff out of his house but is still refusing to get some of it out and is trying desperately to get him to let her stay. Last time he let her back because she lied and said she was pregnant. She figured that he was dumb enough to take her back the first 8 times she cheated on him so she is claiming that again. Showed pictures of positive pregnancy tests. To make a point, the girl my friend has a crush on brought over a positive pregnancy test stick and pranked them saying she was pregnant. Test belonged to a co-worker. She wanted to see how the gf reacted to showing that someone could lie and use someone else's test. Friend got the message but didn't let on to his ex. As a note: If she's pregnant, there is zero chance that my friend is the father.
We were hanging out visiting my friend & the girl he has a crush on, when his ex rolled up and laid on the horn. She gave me stinkeye bc she wanted to park where I was parked but she didn't say anything other than "I don't have a place to park!" and I told my friend "She's not supposed to be here anyway". She parked behind his car and whined about the back end being in the street. Then she walked straight in without asking and asked where the baby was (mind you, we know she knew he wasn't there). I told her that her Mom picked the baby up and if she wanted to see him she should go to her parents' home. She just walked in and went straight to the bedroom and sat on the bed. My friend was saying "What the hell?" but she ignored him. She saw his crush sitting in his computer chair. Ex is not allowed to sit in the chair bc she spills stuff on his keyboard and spits up loogies and stuff-- plus he doesn't want her touching his computer. Ex was sitting there stewing as Crush was playing with the computer and asking to change his windows background (I suspect she was doing it just to piss off the ex). She also renamed the puppy (which I'm happy about bc I hated the name he picked and like the one she picked). That made the ex even angrier. She tried to kick the puppy when she thought no one was looking. I saw her and told her not to do it. Crush got up and went to the bathroom. Ex got up and sat in my friend's chair and glared at him. He told her to get out of his chair. She sat there pretending she didn't hear him. When the crush came back, he told ex he needed to sit in his chair. She's trying to pretend to be nice to him in front of the crush so she got up and went to steal a soda without asking. She has this bad habit of opening a drink, taking a few sips, and then leaving it lying around. She also will go open another drink instead of finishing the one she started. She sat in between my friend and his crush and talked to my brother but was being cold toward me.
The rest of us were having good conversation when ex suddenly started saying it was time to go and that she had a SNAP appointment (which was a lie) and that she needed Crush to help her fill out HUD housing request paperwork. They were gone over an hour so we had fun watching videos and hanging out with our friend. I was telling my friend that if he texted his ex a definitive date to have her stuff out or it would be considered abandoned that I would personally pack her **** up on that day and put it out on the porch in a contractor bag.
The girls arrived back and the ex was still hovering around. Crush went home to get food. I kept telling my brother I needed to get home to check the float lever again. Took about 25min for him to finally get up and agree to go. Friend started zipping his jacket which triggered meltdown mode from Ex. She shrieked "Are you going somewhere? Where are you going?" and he said "Food!" and started walking toward the door. She chased after him "You can't leave! Come back here!" I told her "He can leave his own house whenever he wants." She ignored me.
She kept shrieking at him to come back. He told her he was walking away from her because of her tone and he didn't want to deal with her drama. He walked toward his car, remembered she had him boxed in, sighed in frustration, and turned to cross the street. She started screaming at him "Where are you going!?" and he said "Subway". Then she screamed in a completely panicked voice "YOU'RE GOING TOWARD <insert name of Crush>'s!!!" He called back "No I'm not! That's the other way!" She started shrieking that he was lying and he was going to his crush's house and started ordering him to come back. "GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOWWW!!" He ignored her. We got in the truck to leave and saw her spinning in circles losing her damn mind and then she started following him.
She must have chickened out because he told us she never caught up to him. But yesterday she let herself in to his house when he was at work an he didn't know she was there-- which proves she stole his house key that she claimed she returned and then it subsequently went missing.
My brother has been trying to reason with her that she needs to just let go and move on. I've been talking to my friend's crush (who is a good mother who loves kids and will not tolerate abuse of children) about how the ex is unfit and her own shrink told my friend (on a speakerphone conversation) that the ex can't have custody or even be around the baby without being on her meds. Said they can both lose custody. But she's been off her meds a loooong time and has had multiple violent outbursts since. So, Crush is now going to keep an eye on things and report if she sees any abuse or neglect. She also agreed to help us make it clear to our friend that if he cares about the baby he can not let the ex have custody.
I hope she's lying about being pregnant because she is not fit to have children.
Mom bought my friend a new deadbolt so he can lock the crazy bitch out.
As an aside, I just got an e-mail from Lowes that the windows I ordered (scheduled for March 28) won't arrive until at least June 3.
