Earth-ground? For the box outside you mean? We don't have ground wires on any of our outlets. There is a grounding rod next to the pole but ground wires weren't used to go to any outlet-- which is why I want to find the beginning of the line and put in a GFI and mark it as "no ground". I don't know if there is a grounding rod for the telephone line.

I think I'm going to find some thunder by the sea sound effect stuff to try to sleep-- if I can get Ginger to let go of me. She's clinging to me and bit me when I tried to move her. LOL.

So as an update the employee I talked to on Twitter said she'd continue to handle my case but that she's off work until Tuesday and will talk to me again then.

There's a low dam across the river next to interstate 5 here in Oregon. Fish have to get their pictures taken to proceed upriver.

So, Fedex was refusing to deliver my package. First didn't attempt delivery, then said my address wasn't valid. They called and talked to Mom who gave directions but still didn't deliver. I hit up Fedex and they said something about the name of the recipient not being right and them not being able to process instructions. I hit up Samsclub online and told them Fedex was being stupid and I wanted them to be given instructions. So the samsclub person added instructions BUT they also said they were canceling the order and reordering it. I told them I wanted the original one bc I don't know if 2nd will arrive in a timely fashion. I told Fedex the same. So, to my surprise, Fedex did deliver, but they tossed the package on the grass in front of my gate. I would not have found it if the hadn't shown a proof of delivery photo. I sent that photo to Fedex on Twitter and said "The driver doesn't know what a PORCH is". They lodged a complaint with the driver's manager and said they were going to try to stop these problems from happening. Because the package in the grass was soaking wet, even on the inside. Fortunately, samsclub had packed the item in plastic inside the shipping bag so it was OK. But that's not the first time they left something out and it got wet. It's 3rd or 4th time. The next package was put on the porch. Don't know what will happen with the one that is still coming.

I missed talking to the person from AT&T because I was sick and didn't check the messages. But she said she's going to schedule a repair to be sent out and they will have to call me on my cellphone.

Meanwhile, my brother can't drive until he gets new glasses so I have to drive him.

Yesterday I tried to rest but mom kept waking me up just when I got into good sleep. She insisted I had to go to walmart to get stuff. So I went with my brother. Then this morning I needed to go get mail and we were almost out of oranges so back to walmart and more oranges and my brother wanted some stuff to cook. He's trying to cut back on sugars now. Got stuff and got home and then Mom insisted I had to go back to buy her some deodorant. Friend had just gotten off work and some of the mail I got had gifts for his fiance so I went to walmart, grabbed cow feed from TSC, and then went to see which (if any) of the jewelry she wanted. The 3 things I thought she would want were the ones she wanted (I did bring some other things) so she's happy. Her teeth were sore from being worked on though.

Back home resting and playing star trek fleet command. Time to hunt the swarm enemies.

It was a hairline fracture and they caught it the day after it happened. He has 3 big ol construction size screws in his hip now.

He’s been telling random people he meets that he has about a year left to live because some doctor way back when told him that you’re usually dun fer within a year of breaking your hip.

The old man needed a new battery for one of his clocks. It was one of them tiny assed hearing aid lookin batteries. I can’t read the numbers on the back. Lol. I'll usually take a picture and blow it up to see what it says but my phone is on its last leg and the camera is acting funny so that’s not an option right now. Dang if I didn’t have to break down and buy another pair of readers this morning since I left my other pair at work.

I’m surprised they don’t just sell readers in 3 packs or 5 packs cus that’s how many you’ll end up with, right. Amazon could bundle them with one of those magnifying glass desk lights with the movable arm C’mon now, they’re only $30. I would put that thing to use at work for sure. Prolly should just go ahead and buy one right now while I’m thinking about it.

I also bought another bit kit. I hate the stubby bits that you have to use the extension on so those are all worthless to me unless that’s all I’ve got to use at that moment. What I really like are the 1.5” to 2” bits. If they had a kit of only longer bits, I’d buy it. Haven’t used many Bosch bits. Let’s see how long this kit lasts.

CJ, glad your dad's injury wasn't too serious. My uncle apparently had a clean break and had to get a rod put in. He's still in pain but is getting meds for it. Said he can't sleep at night because that's when he misses his late wife the most. In the daytime he can visit other residents/friends in the assisted living facility, but he's not used to sleeping alone.

I was actually productive yesterday. I unloaded a bunch of stuff from the truck and put it away, took out the trash, hauled trash that are piled up next to the porch out to the burn pile-- got winded so had to stop that and take a break. Cleared some sticks & leaves out of the cow's waterer but stepped in a fire ant mound so I had to move away from that area and get the ants off of me. Cleaned up a bit inside. Drove my brother to work (he can't renew his license until he gets new glasses- he's waiting for them to be ready). Stopped at Walmart to grab some storage bins and some brownies. I wanted chocolate. LOL. Stopped at friend's house to pick up a package Fedex left there without my permission-- it was supposed to go to my house. His toddler was so excited to see me that he charged over but tripped and bellyflopped on the floor. He cried for a minute but was OK.

Got back home, binned up some stuff from the truck, organized and binned up stuff in my bathroom. Stepped n cow crap about 4x (last time I tripped on the same damn plop). It was piled up high. I couldn't see it in the dark and kept forgetting about it. Set my alarm to leave to pick my brother up at 1. Mom woke me up at 12:57 to ask when I was going to pick him up. I *hate* being woken up before my alarm. LOL. Picked him up and tried to sleep more when I got home, but Mom woke me up again in the middle of the night bc her blood sugar was low. I checked it and it was 44. So I got her candy and apple juice and she's fine now. I was so tired I almost passed out. Phone woke me up this morning. AT&T *finally* fixed my damn landline. Turns out something was broken in town that took my line out. Fun part will be trying to get a refund from them for not having service for over a month. But for now I am relieved and will get some rest.

A cop pulled behind ma a week ago as I parked at the habitat store. He said I didn't use my blinker.
Well bullshit I said, you were behind me for three blocks. I'm drunk as hell so there's no way I didn't use my blinker!
....ok, maybe I didn't say that.
I told him that I don't click my blinker on until it clicks, and that I just hold it on... and maybe I didn't pull it hard enough. I asked him to check my blinker to be sure the light wasn't burnt out. He said it was, but wasn't very bright. Then he went back to his car. When he returned, he said he replayed the video to be sure that he was correct about my blinker. I told him I'd replace the bulbs because they are pretty old.
Anyway, I'm following through and decided to follow up on what I told him. The bulbs didn't look all that good so they got replaced and I decided to spruce up the lenses a little also.
1500 grit, then 2500 grit, then hand rubbing with a slurry of toothpaste, baking soda and water on a microfiber cloth. I washed the inside afterwards. Not bad, but needed it.

We always know when its quota time bc we see the cops out waiting to bust people-- if they can't find something legitimate, they make it up. I wish we had cops like Havasu instead. But no, we have the corrupt ones.

Here the cops will walk up and say "I smell marijuana" when they clearly do not. They use that to violate 4A rights for illegal search. Most people don't know their rights and won't argue when they say they want to search the vehicle. My brother once responded with "Must be your upper lip" when the cop said that. No one in my family uses the stuff so nothing of ours smells like it. There were a couple of nice cops though. Don't know if they are still on the force. When a lady ran a red light and hit my rental vehicle (as an aside, the lady went to high school with my sister), one of the female cops who came to the scene was very concerned about me and was really nice. I always try to be nice to the cops. Well, I try to be nice to everyone who isn't being a total jerk to me or others.

I need to find the video where this guy talked about how the flooring guys would take a shit in his trash can if he messed up their work, but he does a lot of short videos that are funny. Aside from the humor, he actually does have some useful tips sometimes.


Here's another one that uses a trick I figured out awhile back and had to use when my shitty philps head screws stripped.


My brother called me to say they were closing 2hrs early so I went to pick him up. He finished his work, but he's not allowed to leave until his co-workers in Kid's Quest (the arcade for children at the casino) are finished with their work. Some sort of policy for safety in numbers so they all leave around the same time. I have a pillow in the truck that I put against the window and napped while I waited for him. Was probably about 15min. Got home without any issue. He actually fed the kitties for me so that made me happy.
