Incognito, that looks fantastic! It kind of looks like concrete floor-- very smooth finished kind. Very clean and smooth.
The local school board is going to be having fits. Just got messaged that the elementary school burned to the ground.
Those are the pics that were posted online. I'm wondering if they exaggerated about it burning "to the ground".
The local police decided to try to use the disaster to their advantage and called Pizza Hut to ask them to donate free pizza (which I suspect is not legal for them to do-- and these cops will most likely retaliate if they are told "No"). Employees told them to call their boss and ask him. If someone wanted to offer to buy pizzas for them, that would be one thing-- but I'm pretty sure it's not kosher to call a business and ask for free food. Nevermind that the firemen are the ones actually putting out the fire. I'd be more inclined to give them free food.
Meanwhile, I have mixed feelings about the school burning. I have bad memories from there. It was one of the worst schools I went to (well, all 3 of the schools here count as the worst schools I ever went to-- and I went to quite a few over the years because we moved around a lot). Back in the 80s it was full of nasty abusive jerks who had no business being around children much less having authority over them and being legally allowed to beat the hell out of them. So, on one hand, I'm laughing inside and thinking "burn baby burn" but the intellectual and practical side realizes how much trouble this is going to cause for parents, students, and the schoolboard. I don't have much sympathy for the schoolboard. They eat up 3% of the 11% sales tax here and they don't even put it to good use. They have a surplus of funding yet they make parents send $15 to $50 on the first day of school as part of the mandatory school supplies-- they also make them bring paper, pencils, pens, etc to give to the school. Most of the students who bring the stuff never even get to use the stuff they bring. The money mostly goes to the administrators and the teachers are paid a pittance and the schools don't have enough books or chairs to go around.
Edit: It was some hyperbole involved. Only one section of the school burned to the ground. It was the oldest part, but the newly renovated parts survived.
