I went into work for 4 hours today because I have a fund raising Golf outing tomorrow 🥳 and my week is getting full. Anywho, the 70 ish year old Mother/ Tenant below came out and asked if I saw any flowers on her porch…..Supposedly she was told they delivered them already 😥 So ! I’m following C. J’s lead and going to buy her replacement flowers 💐 …. Picture on its way soon

Good man. I’m spoiled here cus Safeway has a good flower selection. They always have bunches of Lillies that are ready to bloom for $8.99, don’t forget the flower food!

Rusty, I hope you get feeling better.

Never got to nap. But I did take out all the trash. The bag filled with stuff from the freezer was too heavy for me to lift so I dragged it. We got the freezer home. Friend took the old one out and I cleaned up where it had been sitting. Lots of stuff fell behind it and next to it and there was quite a bit of dirt. It was a bear to get out and damaged some of the siding because it fell and rolled against the siding. I can replace that though.

Rained a lot on the way home and after we got the new freezer in. Well, "we", I mean my friend and my brother. Brother put the handle on while I took my friend home. People were driving too slow -- 25mph in 55mph bc they are candy asses who don't know how to drive in the rain. It was nothing compared to what I drove in when I was in Guam.

Sister called to say "happy mother's day".

Internet was out and my troubleshooting methods weren't working. rebooted my pc in case it was the problem, reset wireless network adapter, rebooted modem, etc. Went outside and saw the dish was moving to try to get signal. Couldn't access the modem page from my computer so had to download the app and tell it to stow and reboot. That worked.

Happy Mother’s Day Z, 😄 , so you drove through monsoons in Guam, so this was a walk in the park 😉 Candy Asses , what a phrase, I wonder how that came to be ?

Just got off the phone with my daughter and could hear the grandson in the background. Five months old now. I’m so proud of her and all Mothers who go through what us men probably couldn’t handle and the patience and perseverance needed, God Bless Mothers !

My 28 year old son, who is autistic and has an IQ over 150, has started ghost writing. He has sold 6 stories for other people to use. He would not want the publicity of taking credit for the books himself.
Local schools had him listed with an IQ of 79. He is self-taught at reading and writing Japanese and coding computers. I am just glad that he found something productive that he likes.

Hey Rusty, have you seen the movie
‘ Temple Grandin’ with Claire Danes ?
Check it out, it’s one of my favorite biographical movies 🍿 and you’re living it out right now with your son. He sounds amazing !

Glad you're feeling better, Rusty.
I was out for the count yesterday. Fatigue caught up with me. Today I've been a little more active. Called the doctor's office yesterday bc Mom's blood sugar won't come down and we don't have any fast-acting insulin. He squeezed her in for an appointment today and had blood drawn to check ketones and sugar levels. Her meters could not detect how high the sugar was bc it was so high, but she feels ok. Doc said she may need to use a combo of the long lasting and fast acting. Tried to check her sugar with the regular meter again when we got home but the test strips disappeared. Need to buy more tomorrow.

New freezer is very cold but also very hard to open. My brother was trying to open it and the whole freezer moved. I found if I slip my fingers under the seal it will open though. Bit of a pain to have to do that, but at least it won't fall open like the old one did. Magnetic seal is tight. Wish it had the release button like my friend's fridge has. Also wish they built very tall narrow standalone fridges. Like, half of a sidexside that is fridge only but I can't seem to find any like that.

Meanwhile, friend's wife got confirmation that she miscarried. No d&c, they will give her meds to induce labor and flush the corpse out. I imagine that is not going to be pleasant for her. She's pretty heartbroken over it. Last I spoke with her she still had hope it could survive.
