Speaking of Ivanka, not only did she not qualify for security clearance, she also was given access to classified files & then started dealing with patents in China & doing more business with them.

There are wealthy Chinese business people coming in & paying bribes to get citizenship-- and some of them are spies. The entire company ZTE is a spy network. And don't even get me started on the idiotic tariffs... LOL.

As long as all the corporations in America continue to throw our workers under the bus in the name of profit China is going to take over the world with our money. The amount of wealth transfer to China from us is astounding. And thats happened in the last 10 years. We're getting F'kd and Trump along with his daughter still makes products in China. Makes me want to barf.

Maybe we can encourage business to stay in the US by raising corporate taxes.
The guy that makes "My Pillow" makes them here. Hats off to him. He's doing bed sheets now to, but the cotton comes from some exotic overseas company. I hope that he make the sheets here too, but I don't know.
Ever watch the TV show Shark Tank? That show is an education to the reality of making products. I China makes a doll for $1.25 and Bangladesh makes em for $1.09 and Mexico makes em for $1.32 and American companies have a production charge of $4.97.................. well, sad to say, but they are out of business in the first week. I assume that we can partially thank NAFTA for that. I think it made it easier for American corporations to become international corporations. But in reality, unless we can outprice the overseas competition, we can't make a lot of things here anymore.

I know a lot of stuff is made in Malaysia and Taiwan as well. And because Saipan is technically part of the US, textiles are made there but they can claim it was "Made in the USA" despite it being from barely paid laborers- many of whom are prisoners of human trafficking & the women are often forced into prostitution. They have what are essentially slaves from the Philippines & China doing labor there (or at least that's how it was in the late 90s early 2000s).

The American made stuff may be more expensive but it tends to have better quality control. Unless the government stipulates that extra $ from tax breaks has to be spent on lower tier employees, the giant corporations will always just take that $ and keep it in the upper tiers or re-invest. I doubt it will ever come to that and I'm sure they would fight it tooth & nail and find loopholes around it. They want us to think the world will fall apart if they have to pay more taxes or pay workers living wages.

I think a lot of them bank on replacing humans with machines eventually. They will probably even have machines to do maintenance and fix other machines at some point.

But you forget the Merican companies upcharge the cost to sell in USA close to what it would cost to make in USA save for a couple bucks, and they take all that profit. I'll spend the extra 10% to buy Merican where we employ our people instead of slaves of other countries. Especially when it comes to parts for my Merican made truck and tools.

I think he means he doesn't want them to upcharge at such high percentages over their costs. Obviously to keep going they need to charge more than their costs to get a profit, but they will charge $20 $30 and even $100 or more for things that only cost cents to make.

As an aside, I'm greatly amused at how much of a snowflake Devin Nunes is that he's suing Twitter & some parody accounts bc the parody accounts make fun of him. He's buttsore about a Devin Nunes' Cow account that is clearly joking & making farm animal/cow puns.

If Chinese drills are $2 each, then the US drills won't be $1.75 even if we could make them cheaper. Market determines the price. It's a competition.

Ocasio says if people don't want to work, they shouldn't have to. (yet still getting a check from someone) I'm beginning to like her.
There's a difference between having a social security program that helps the elderly or retired people or financial help for disabled people who can never work. Unemployment or food programs. We are a civilized and compassionate society.
When handouts totally take away incentives, and the government subsidies pay more than working ....to the point of every citizen depending on the government to survive.
(The current Democrat mantra is simply to get more votes and create more dependents, in which they can garner more votes and even more dependents............ blah, blah, blah.............. )
That's when the "compassionate society" goes too far.

Much of what we donate to them pays for their healthcare. We also donate money to pay for healthcare in Egypt. In fact we give money to over 100 other countries.
