Trump needs to throw in a few factual statements every now and again to keep his grip on us 😜

We do an extremely large amount of testing on these poor 🐭 …..

did you know the majority of shareholders for CNN and Fox News are the same group of investors? or so I’ve been told, we better fact check it. 😜

NPR had a program this past weekend about testing mice for trauma. I believe they had the mouse smell an herb. Let’s just say it was cinnamon, and then give them an electric shock to cause trauma. The purpose was to see if the offspring would also have a stress response if they smelled cinnamon and the result was yes they did have a stress response, so the hypothesis is that stress gets into the DNA and passed through the sperm into the next generation and they also surmised this happens for five generations before it evolves away. Why do we need to know that ? because it gives us more understanding about ourselves and others 🤔😜

Funny local story. Sheriff gets a call that a burglary is happening. He gets there and a neighbor is holding the three burglars at gun point. He thanks the neighbor for his help.
In some places, the neighbor would have been arrested.

I learned in my police academy classes that it is impossible to be strangled without petechiae forming in the eyes. That trial was just a "feel good" farce.
Havasu do you know these officers from La. and is there anything valid about this story ? https://www.npr.org/2025/03/07/nx-s...rder-minneapolis-pd-turns-to-lapd-for-lessons
You aren't hyper sensitive one tiny bit. They can hate Trump all they want, but not the people Trump invited to this address.

Darn ! I missed a whole bunch of posts on the topic of how the Demonrats Words and Actions were so disrespectful to the guest who went through trauma. And ! all of you have valid emotional reactions from that selfish display.

This is classic behavior from human beings who don’t understand
‘ Understanding ‘ ….

We can mentor better by choosing to stop bumping and provoking into each others weaknesses and start understanding each other. 🤔 AND !! at the same time, through developing a strong self image, build up defensiveness, and responsibility. This empowerment allows us to maintain respect, when feeling disrespected. Only this combination of values brings Assertiveness were we can stand strong and remain respectful at the same time.

In other words recognize when we or others are being passive or aggressive, and then encourage yourself and others to become assertive.

PS> who wants to empower me with the info on how to donate funds to this forum. 😉

No, I'm not aware of Minneapolis taking advice from LAPD. Seems a bit of a Yen/Yang, since the mentality of both departments being vastly different. Akin to Pee Wee Herman asking for help from Chuck Norris.
Nice 😂 and seriously, I’m enjoying the comedy of that duel message, however would you care to elaborate! ….

I was hoping for some type of Loyalty message or a hint of one between one Police dept. to another. That even though there is a recognition of a fundamental difference that may weaken a departments ability to serve with integrity, that there would also be a recognition of fundamental similarities to consider ?

It’s my belief that when we go all in with judgment against a different method we leave no room for improvements through respectful dialogue.

No, just stating fact. Currently, my son is taking the Las Vegas Metro Police sniper's shooting training course, to use for the LA County Sheriff's Department. The bigger departments save money by cross training with other larger departments, but Minnesota is so far behind the 8 ball, they don't have the skill or money needed to 1) Learn 2) afford better equipment.

IMHO, this all has to do with the liberal mindsets from the departments in question.

Thanks for sharing that Australia Blue article and it started out respectful with the facts, but then it ended with sticking the dogs nose in its poop 🫤and was that necessary ?

When we start off assertively, but then passionately become intoxicated with power, we may become irresponsible as we finish out the message. So I ask you did that article finish responsibly or 👂 responsibly? 😜

Best of luck and skill for your son, I bet you’re proud 👍

Did you open the npr interview and listen to the short story from Meg Anderson ? The two departments are benefiting by evaluating brutality issues ( Rodney King / George Floyd ) and how to improve policing through effective training, isn’t that a good thing ? And why wouldn’t we want a seat at that discussion table ?

You can't learn when the facts are manipulative. George Floyd did not die at the hands of the police, he died because of excited delirium, caused from the many drugs in his system. The city cowarded to the asylum running the city. The city must take control of the asylum before any corrective action can take place.

I was in the Rodney King riots. We were sitting on a powder keg then, and still sitting on one. Using King was just a way to get stuff for free, and hopefully garner more free stuff in the future. Nothing more, nothing less.

So you don't like the truth? Typical for a Democrat.

So I just listened to a 17 min. Explanation of excitement delirium, and spoke for 45 minutes with my cousin who is a retired lieutenant from the Philadelphia police department, and the reality in my book as I see it, is that the truth is hidden in the complexity of everything.

The city must take control of the asylum before any corrective action can take place.
That is for darn sure, but I would go one step further. The human race must take control of our asylum before any corrective action can take place…… So how do we do that when both sides are dug into there judgments. I really see no other way than open mindedness communication, understanding, acceptance, forgiveness, awareness, you name it all of these crazy, psychological words that help us find flexibility, but if we keep wanting to go to the opposites, good /evil, win / lose , right / wrong , happy / sad , we will continue playing the game of opposites and remain hobbled as we try to find function and solutions. In the meantime poor decisions are going to be made on both sides because the system we live in is guilty or innocent, so until we create a different system, we are stuck within its confines.

As an aside: it is not my belief that Chauvin should be incarcerated. It is my belief that police officers should be tried by a jury of their own peers like the military. I wouldn’t be surprised if sometime in the near distant future that system will be created.

I do believe Chauvin was doing a bit of "showboating", and IMHO, he should have immobilized, handcuffed, and transported ASAP. No need to stand there like a deer hunter who just shot a 16 point Buck.
Didn't Floyd refuse to get in the car so they laid him down. Wasn't that his preference to not bring in the car?
Chauvin was in a very uncomfortable situation with people yelling at him, yelling the race card. I'm sure his adrenaline level was pretty high with that crowd getting larger as they waited for an ambulance....
...wasn't there an ambulance waiting a few blocks away...... waiting for it to be safe enough to drive in and attend to him?
It's been a while. I don't recall everything.

That incident is actually a good example for why Resist and Defend needs a third Verb to help out. When we find ourselves as a nation or individual stuck between any two actions, it elevates human emotion levels, and tends to increase the percentage for poor outcomes. What in the world, in Gods name, could that action be ? AND IT COSTS NO MONEY ?
acceptance 😳 ….. keep resisting and we will continue provoking the very actions we don’t want 🤔 ….. Now back on Derik, and how we the people, looking back on it can discuss a lesson learned using the above philosophy as a guide. So how does Acceptance in a full out Resist/Defend situation affect change ? It opens up choices!! ….. I know what one choice is, but I’m going to turn this soap box moment over to a more deserving and qualified professional who will bring it credibility.
Have at it Havasu 👍 🤞

I'd have to watch the entire incident again for a Monday morning armchair quarterback report, but as I learned from my professor in my police academy classes, you must judge what is done from the eyes of the judged. I don't know his mindset, I wasn't there, so this was the only perception I saw from my living room.
