glue direct carpet on gypcrete

I did some apts for about 10 years. The floor was so bad I used #8 nails and nailed through into the plywood deck. The gypcrete had crumbled. My uncle worked where they made gypcrete blocks, think it was the 50s. He said the stuff only had a 30 year lifespan. They had to warn people that contact with dirt makes it crumble.
 
I've only done one birdcage in my life in SF. They sold the customer a berber. The third job after i mived there. The previos installer got fired because he said he was short so he couldn't do the stairs.
I thought it looked horrible.
Back in 85' berber just made a comeback in the high dollar designers and being all wool.
I just winged it but this stuff was so well constructed you could easily do an invisable cross seam .
Then several years later at a CFI convention in K C Daris showed a few of us how us really done.
Even though Jim Walker started his speech we kept on with the seminar. I remember that like it was yesterday.
Anyway what was the question again?

Why would you put carpet in a bird cage.
Never done it, never will. Those ought to be wood.
