Why? It is carpet, a needle and thread would take care of it.
Did you notice, there is not power stretcher in the hallway, just a kicker and crab jack.

First thing i noticed. Don't care for the Golden touch though . I put the thicker pad on my GT.
I never noticed the lack of a power stretcher. I assumed it was glue direct.

Worst possible choice of wood to attempt something like that. I saw a red oak floor with shorts and it looked fantastic. I recall it being like 14 by 24, then took off at a 30 or 45 degree angle for another 14 by 24. Living room, then kitchen then dining room. The owner was a retired engineer, and he and his wife did the install. I'm betting they hired out the sanding and finishing.
