So... your son sells drugs?
God, when I was 20 I think i lived in a car lol

Seriously though, that is a sweet collection. I never so much had more than my one each. I have my knock off strat, my Blueridge acoustic, Takamine G124S classical and well, i was given a horrible electric signed by some of the members of Lynyrd Skynyrd.

I managed to play an amazing American Strat Plus the other week that has been burning a hole in my brain... but then i went for the pups instead. I do not really need to sink 2100 dollars into a guitar to jam away at home.... or do I ;)

Looks like your kid has it made my friend! Hell my dad even owned a guitar store and I never had that kinda clout lol

Also, I lied. When I was 20 I lived in a storage closet in my buddies apartment. Rent was cheap and I was never really home a lot. At the time everything I owned fit into a back pack... how do I know you ask? Because later that year I packed it all up and hitch hiked across the country with said backpack lol

I lived in a car when i was 24 ;)

This is me around 17 years old (on the right)

....you definitly sold drugs ;)

Those cabinets are ridiculous!
DON.. I SAID REDICULOUS!

Nothing beats playing hey, its bloody good fun.

Thats a sweet bass my man, on both accounts.

Played in a band in high school. Went into the army and got interested in other things. Bought one a few years ago and the arthritis would not let me play it. Someone broke in and stole it while we were moving. They also stole my mom's old guitar.

Mark, I bought the bass amp when I lived outside of Philadelphia. A friend of mine found it at a Boces/technical school. They used it as their PA system.
They wanted $100 for the amp and I reluctantly bought it. The thing did sound great.
When I moved back to New York State, I sold it for I believe around $500 ( after using it for many years) now I think just the head alone is worth about $2000 . It was an early 70s Ampeg SVT. This exact amp was used by Def Leppard this photo is from their first album if you look closely on the left-hand side youā€™ll see it.
The Steinberger bass was very cool I bought that around 1986. Just under $1,900 way back then.
I donā€™t play much anymore, occasionally Iā€™ll strum the acoustic for a few minutes.

My 8 year old wanted an acoustic for Christmas. I got him a cheap Amazon one to start with. If he plays it more than a few times and gets serious with it I'll buy him a good one.

Well lads, this is officially the worst year of my life. Today I thought, you know what, if a guy is gonna have a bum year there is nothing that could possibly make it better than going out and buying a Fender American Strat Plus circa 1997. The thing is a beauty I played in a local store here a few weeks ago when I wanted to get my hands on a set of the Lace Sensor golds and seeing as they were in her I gave her a go. Well, I think I fell in love that very day and for the last month or so all I could think about was that guitar.

Today, I finally convinced myself that parting with 2000 dollars of my hard earned money was worth it for having such a thing on the wall here at home that I could love at will so I drove to the music store after working 4 days away from home to install 1300 sqft of wall and floor tile.

..... and they were closed.

Thanks a lot 2021!!!!
