The last time the CDC studied the defensive use of guns in the US, they said there were over 2 million per year. Do you think if the media publicized those as much as they do the few mass shootings that the public's perception of guns would change?

Bricks of 500 22lr are $13.95 now. Had seen them at $50 at one time. I go through 400-500 rounds at the range.
Five hundred for $13.95? Where's this?
Not where I live.
Federal 22 LR HV 40 Grain 500 ct Ammo. $24.97. Copper-plated solid, 1240 FPS. Those prices are at Bi-Mart stores in Oregon

CNN did a full length segment on that about a month ago promoting responsible gun ownership. Jim Acosta even said he carries concealed.

Our Democrat party would jump on that idea if they could get away with it. It's kind of a knee jerk reaction............ like it's going to stop people from that kind of hate. Two guys with a few gas cans probably could have done that same mayhem torching the front and back doors. Driving a large truck into a crowd of people would mean banning large trucks.
Gun ownership in the US is right up there with football, basketball, auto racing and apple pie. We need to find a better way to identify crazy people. Maybe instead of wasting time on a witch hunt, the FBI could infiltrate Neo Nazi and skinhead and hate groups and find out what they're plans are.
And especially who the seriously dangerous ones in the groups are. It's one thing to hate people and another thing to get violent.

More guns laws here are not the answer, they don't enforce current law. Over the last few years over 80,000 people have committed a felony by lying on the background check. They have prosecuted less than 1 %.

In 2017, according to the FBI, there were 7,105 Americans murdered using handguns and 374 using rifles (only a fraction of which were AR-15s.) There were 1,604 knife homicides during that same span. There were 656 people killed by fists and kicking

Nine., Ar15s were used in 9 of the most famous mass shootings.

Out of tens of millions of AR-15's owned by law abiding gun owners in America.

The VAST majority of which will never be fired at anything but targets at the range.

Do you really think that all those shooters would have stayed home and not shot anyone if they couldn't get an AR?

The AR-15 doesn't have any magical properties that make it any more deadly than any other semiautomatic.

It's just the most popular and prolific rifle.
There are actually many more hand guns used in murders than any other weapon.

Ask any cop and they'll tell you that the most common gun found in police evidence lockers is the cheap Saturday night special type handgun.

It's kind of like if you see a pick up truck on the road, chances are about 50/50 that it's going to be a Ford F-150.

Not because F-150's are significantly better than any other truck.....but just because Ford sells a crap load of them and there's more of them on the road.

The problem is that history repeats itself. People forget how tyrants take control of countries by the way of gun control.
England tried to do the same thing to us but couldnt so they tried confiscating the gun powder.
And i think we have a dictator in the works here.
I dont trust the dems or republicans as far as gun control goes.
