German economist and Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) official Ottmar Eddenhofer, explained prior to the Cancun conference in an interview with the Global Warming Policy Foundation (Potter 2010): First of all, developed countries have basically expropriated the atmosphere of the world community. But one must say clearly that we redistribute de facto the world's wealth by climate policy. Obviously, the owners of coal and oil will not be enthusiastic about this. One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore, with problems such as deforestation or the ozone hole...Basically it's a big mistake to discuss climate policy separately from the major themes of globalization.
In a paper prepared for the Cancun conference Professor Kevin Anderson, Director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, said the only way to reduce global emissions enough, while allowing the poor nations to continue to grow, is to halt economic growth in the rich world over the next twenty years. He called for World War II-type rationing of electricity in order to force people to conserve (Gray 2010)

As for those droughts,
a recent study published in the letter of the journal Nature indicates that globally,
“…there has been little change in drought over the past 60 years.” And
as the U.N. Climate panel concluded last year:
“Some regions of the world have experienced more intense and longer droughts, in particular in southern Europe and West Africa, but in some regions droughts have become less frequent, less intense, or shorter, for example, in central North America and northwestern Australia.”
If you've noticed, they constantly lie by omission.
For example, they will never post articles like this, and when they are posted, they run away and hide:
The new results from the NEEM ice core drilling project in northwest Greenland, led by the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen show that the climate in Greenland was around 8 degrees C warmer than today during the last interglacial period, the Eemian period, 130,000 to 115,000 thousand years ago.

8°C is 14.4°F.
The Greenland Ice Sheet is supposed to melt.
That's what is supposed to happen, and that is always what happens during an Inter-Glacial Period, and there's never been an Inter-Glacial Period where it hasn't.
Claims that the Greenland Ice Sheet is melting are propaganda alarmist claims.
The same is true for claims that the 1.4°F rise over the last 140 years is "unprecedented", "historic", "abnormal", "unusual", or anything else.
That's strictly propaganda and disinformation, because your government says that 24 times in the last 100,000 years, the temperature has fluctuated by as much as 20°F in a matter of years, or decades.
When it says "years" it means 4-7 years, and when it says "decades" it means 1-4 decades.
So, if the temperature jumps 12°F over the next 4 years, that is not unprecedented, historic, abnormal or unusual.
If the temperature should jump 10°F over the next 30 years, that's not unprecedented, historic, abnormal or unusual, either.
78 times in the last 100,000 years, the temperatures have changed 4°F to 6°F in a matter of years or decades, and again we're talking 4-7 years and 1-4 decades.
So, if the temperature jumps 5°F over the next 4 years, or next 20 years, that's not "unprecedented", "historic", "abnormal" or "unusual" either.
And this is all science they don't want you know, because it doesn't fit their narrative.
The other lie they like to tell is "we should be entering a Glacial Period."
Nope.
Since the Mid-Pleistocene Event 600,000 years ago, Inter-Glacial Periods increased and now last 12,000 to 30,000 years.
If this period lasts another 14,000 years, that's perfectly normal. If it lasts another 18,000 years, that's perfectly normal. And should it last another 5,000 years, that's perfectly normal, too.
The other propaganda and disinformation is the Bell Curve thing.
Inter-Glacials are not Bell Curves. There is no slow warming to a peak and then gradual decline.
If and when we return to a Glacial Period, the temperature will drop rapidly over a short period of time. Not years or decades. You'd never see it, but your great-grandchildren and their children would.
