Oregon voters win against the Gestapo.

Calling the kettle black.

The controversial House Bill 2020, which places a cap on greenhouse gas emissions, has been deemed dead by Oregon Gov. Kate Brown.

Senate President and top Democrat in the chamber Peter Courtney announced Tuesday,June 25, that his caucus did not have the votes needed to pass House Bill 2020. Senate Republicans walked out last week denying the Democrats the 20-member quorum necessary to conduct business. Gov. Brown released a statement just after the announcement was made.

“Senate Republicans have blocked a bill that provides a better future for our state and for our children, and the tactics they employed to do so are not just unacceptable, but dangerous,” Brown said. “The Republicans are driving us away from the values that Oregonians hold dear, and are moving us dangerously close to the self-serving stalemate in Washington, DC."

The total arrogance or Oregon's Demoocrat legislators has really pissed me off.............. and a lot of Oregon voters. The Republican walkout saved our butts from this California style of governing........... Meaning that they, the governing body, knows what is best for us.. They don't even need to ask.
Today a caravan of semi and logging trucks from 12 to 15 miles long drove to the capital building to meet with protesters against Oregon's "emergency" carbon tax. Oregonians did not ask for this carbon tax bill. The legislators all by themselves deemed this 2020 carbon tax an 'emergency' in an effort to rail road the bill without asking us voters what we thought of it.
We spoke, ..........they really don't care. They are PO'd big time. I may go to church on Sunday.

The average LCOEs from existing coal ($41), cc gas ($36), nuclear ($33), and hydro ($38) resources are less than half the cost of new wind resources ($90) or new PV solar resources ($88.7) with imposed costs included.

All about reality. If you can transport $800 worth of waste plastic and it takes a day to get it to a true recycle/processing plant and it takes $250 in fuel and $500 for a truck and driver fee you probably aren't gonna make it fly. My numbers are all made up, but if it was cheap it would be getting done.
How about building more processing plants? I mean plastic cleaning/melting plants. Probably costs millions............ and then you still have to transport that ready to use plastic to a plastic manufacturing plant to make the products.
This is prolly more than $800 worth of plastic.

How many tons can a semi truck haul?
Watch a Volvo FH16 Semi Tow 750 Tons. While most semi-trucks in the U.S. haul around 40 tons (80,000 pounds), the new Volvo FH16 heavy duty truck features a new I-Shift transmission with crawler gears capable of towing up to 325 tons.Apr 13, 2016

I said I was making up numbers. Just saying if there was money to me made, people would be outbidding each other to transport plastic to manufacturers. The economics aren't working.
Need to find ways to make fewer kinds of plastic for every day items so that they can all be recycled easier.
Plastic bottles like detergent, soap, motor oil and milk bottles made of plastic "a"
Bags, straws, styrofoam and plastic forks made of plastic "b"
............and so on.
Do we really need 40 kinds of plastic with only 2 or 3 being recyclable? There needs to be a change.
Here they are now charging $5.50 if you bring in any recyclables to the local disposal site. One pop can or #50 of newspaper, same price.

Germany went to solar and wind. There was no reduction in pollution and their electricity is some of the most expensive in the world.
That's what the unicorn and butterfly people don't understand. Math works out on paper just fine but fails miserably when reality sets in. They will never get it.

Factor in the cost of people dying from pollution, cost of clean up if at all possible by fracking people's water. Water sources never to be used again.
Can't put a price on health. What good is energy if your ******* dead.

I honestly have no problem with a black woman being the new 007. But then, I don't really watch the Bond movies.

It is just the whole idea. PC has gone nuts.
For Bond, they could have just done a totally new series without the name Bond. No connection whatsoever, just a new spy series.
Tear down all of our historical statues............ the ones that built our country and made it what it is today. Sure, tear em down and pretend nothing bad ever happened. Rename buildings, and rename streets. Don't let children of tomorrow ever know our history............. Yeh, that's a great idea.
People have just become total wimps and anything you say hurts their feelings. Wish people would start wearing their big boy pants and stop playing victim.
I want back the America I grew up in.

I'm sexist too..........Boy Scouts are for boys, Girls Scouts are for girls and if anybody wants to add another for both, I'm fine with that.
And stop the "participation" ribbons for baseball and track........... sometimes ya lose. Might as well learn that early in life.

What if you ate at a Mexican restaurant? Probably have to ban those too, and hard boiled pickled eggs in bars....... and beer because it increases CO2 levels every time a beer gets opened.
