Only the second hummingbird I've seen so far this year...Ruby-throated hummingbird...
Was kind of odd to see him "sitting" on a branch as they very rarely land for long...
Was also a weird night for weather as it went from sunny and breezy to dark, cloudy, and still as heck all in about a 30-minute span. Never got but a few raindrops and that was it. Had a heck of a time with the metering & white balance on my camera because the light was changing so quickly, had to lighten this up to get any detail from the bird as a result, so not my best work by far, but a cool find none-the-less.

Met this nice lady at the marsh this evening on my walk...apparently I walk pretty quietly...she wasn't spooked and we stood like this for about 5 minutes.
Just mentioned crows working to escort a larger bird out of an area and saw this tonight while walking...
Moved him clear out of the area...

I went to look at a restretch this afternoon. When tho homeowner and I walked out to my pickup, mom and 2, two year old Bambi's were in the neighbors yard eating grass and scratching against a tree, 30 feet away.
I didn't take a picture..... The car, street and mailbox would be hard to edit out.
I just gotta be patient.
Too hot for even the birds today. Heat index 92 at noon.
