Back in late May I measured a new house. The owner is a custom home builder from Arizona.
He gave me a cactus. My brother has the green thumb, so he potted and has cared for it.
I posted a photo a few days ago of the flowers forming. This is happening FAST 😳
This morning I sent Ed (the home owner), some images of the cactus and soon to be flowers.
He's said "wow, two flowers"
Then told me the cactus will grow to the size of a volleyball and to replant it after it blooms (larger container) He said next year to expect as many as 30 flowers. 😱😱😱😱😱😱
Pretty neat gift.

Out of excitement, I also put these elsewhere. They were a new learning experience with perfect timing up on the arrival of my new phone. The Pixel cameras are so much nicer than my Motorola.

Not my best, but the wind was blowing grass back and forth in front of him in the distance. I needed to be about a foot taler so I could get above the marsh grass instead of shooting through it...Juvenile Bald Eagle at the marsh last night sitting on a nesting box for waterbirds. He's flippin' huge! Well over 2' tall and about as beefy as a turkey! Look at those feet. Probably 4'+ wingspan.
