I couldn't agree with you more. It reminded me of this shot that I took a couple of years ago. Color didn't look right with this one either.

Took a friend out one fine fall day to get a photo of the love of his life and his pride and joy. It was a bucket of rusty bolts when he bought it................. ya notice his wife isn't visible? :D
Both are long gone now, and he discovered WII Jeeps. His current Jeep has a totally hand built 50 caliber mounted on it............ awsum is an understatement.

The photo was taken on the original road leading to where I live. The road dead ends at Golden and Silver Falls state park. There was a wooden bridge up there at one time that allowed cars and log trucks to drive along the cliff edge and up above the falls. They used dynamite to blast out enough rock to make the road above the falls. That was back in the mid 30's. Even as a little kid, I can't recall ever seeing the bridge across the creek that allowed traffic to the old road. I just remember some old pilings.
Today, it just a narrow trail along the stone face of the falls. I can't imagine driving a car on that route. It's a 100 foot drop straight down. I the following link, they flash two images. From below, looking up at the falls, there is a dark line to the left of the falls. That's the road. Neat place and it's less than an hours drive from town.
