This one is from 1994. It's a view looking eastwards in February of '94 below The Dutchman fire lookout. I always loved the morning views from high perches looking down on the fog. Lots of layers in this one. Morning after morning, these views are never the same.

I had a tendency to underexpose a lot of my slides in an effort to get richer colors. Because of that, some images needed a little extra help after I scan them. I think I went a bit overboard on this one. Our water doesn't really get that blue.:D
I included a before image. This is from the Carpenterville Road looking down on highway 101 on the southern Oregon coast. This was a 10 or 20 minute long exposure in an effort to get a few car light trails after the sun had set. Long exposures are always hit and miss with slide film, but they can be fun.

I have about 500 boxes of Kodachrome slides that I took during my 15 years of photo addiction. I went through a half dozen boxes out of boredom tonight and tossed out a lot of so-so images. I came across this one. I really like the colors.

The company that pilots ships in and out of the bay, bought this new boat in '95. Not long after, the economy went sour and they had to sell it. One nice looking boat. Twin screws and they could rotate them 360 degrees independently. This day was a busy one. They took out two ships at once, and a large ocean tug was heading out at the same time towing two huge barges. I've never seen two ships head out at the same time, let alone being followed by a tug. The entrance to the bay is only 3/4 of a mile wide.
