Points? One team actually loses???
I figured these days kids would all get participation ribbons at the end of the game so that nobody's feelings get hurt. :D

80-200mm f2.8. One of the best portrait lenses known to man. I can't wait to put this baby to use.

It's a limit or full switch.

"When the LIMIT/FULL selector is on FULL, the lens can be focused continuously from infinity to 1:1 (life-size closeup). We recommend leaving the selector on FULL for most general shooting. To restrict the lens to close focusing, focus the lens at or near its minimum distance and slide the selector to LIMIT. The lens will now focus only to reproduction ratios between 1:1 and approximately 1:2.3. To restrict the focusing range to longer distances such as portraits and scenics, focus at or near infinity before switching to LIMIT. The lens will then focus only between infinity and a reproduction ratio of about 1:3."

The price? If you need to ask ... you can't afford it. The original price was 9,800,000 yen - that was MSRP $89,579 in the USA. And "no discounts" according to Mr. Westfall. The model I reviewed (in excellent condition) has a $120,000 price tag hanging on it. That's right - it costs more than a small house in the country.

A Bambi moment. ...awwwwww!
A customer asked me to come down and look at the balcony on his log cabin. He figured with his personal knowledge of my sheer genius, this lowly carpet dude might be able to correct the slope of this 5 1/2 foot balcony so that the water would drain off, instead of settle against the logs. It's 60 miles away, but work is work............... He's 1000 miles away from home right now just having undergone heart surgery at Cedar Sinai, but I have the code to the gate.
Party anyone? ...he'll be gone for a couple weeks and the bar is very well stocked. :D

Back to Bambi. He buys day old bread and fees em daily, so with him being gone, and us being down there scoping out his water drainage problem............ Well, the bread was there just inside the garage door, the horned and unhorned beggars arrived like clockwork, we took the honors so they wouldn't starve to death. :D You can literally hand feed a couple of them, while the rest stay a good 5 or 10 feet away. Pretty friendly critters.
It's a dangerous place he has up there on the mountain, with hummingbirds zipping by you 3 or 4 at a time like little fighter jets with the afterburners on, and the squirrels nipping at your heels. It was getting close to sunset so we fed em all quickly before the grizzly's arrived. I could smell danger was in the air, so we headed back down the mountain getting the heck out of Dodge while the getting was good.

Reminds me that I need to start watching for that. The snow level dropped below 5,000 feet last night and there was snow on a couple of the mountain passes. It's down to 45 degrees right now. .............brrr. I'm not ready for an early fall.
