My Ford is hangin in there but occasionally I get an idea to spend money. I don’t like the look of the new vans either. Chevy express or gmc Savana is about it for traditional looking vans. Not a fan of Stabilatrack but I suppose it’s not a deal breaker.

If I’m gonna spend some money though it will be for a long wheelbase with a 6.6. That’ll do me just fine.
 
If I was still working I would just use my 1994 E 150. Nothing beats an Econoline.

Except an ‘80’s Econoline. I had one once and wanted to drive that thing off a cliff it was such a POS. I woulda too but the 302 was just gutless.

Had a ‘76 and I loved it. Cheap to work on too. Then I got a ‘91 box van. No AC. That thing was an oven during the summer. Still had wing windows👍. Then I had a ‘13 E150. You know after you load up a 150 it’s a saggin wagon. That was actually a fantastic van. Almost 20 mpg if you don’t load it down with weight. I’ve had a few Chevy’s and a Dodge as well but I do love me a Ford. I’m currently in a long term relationship with an ‘05 but I still think about driving other vans. 😏
 
I had an 80s Ford box truck for a while. 300 straight 6. Got about 18 on the hiway. Had I think, over 300,000 when it caught fire. In the old days, the Fords were 12' 3" on the inside. The Chevys and Dodges were both 11' 6" to 11' 9" depending on the year. I worked for a store that loaded out over 20 crews a day and all used Ford vans except one that used a pickup.
 
I been thinkin about a new van lately. Prolly 50k by the time it’s tagged, titled and has some good lookin wheels on it. 😳

My buddy just picked up a 2020 Chevy express. Says he’s almost gotten stuck a couple times due to the traction control not letting the tires spin. Anybody else out there experience this? Or does my buddy just not know how to push and hold the traction control button while brodying up a driveway.

Dude, that stabilitrack system is the worst!
I live in snow country. Whenever it senses the wheels slipping it shuts you down to two cylinders.
Sometimes you need to spin them to get up a hill….. nope, shuts you down on the hill.
You can only shut it off up to 20 mph. Over 20 it turns itself back on. And it’s tied into a lot of other crap. So pulling a fuse don’t work.

I had to learn to make it work in our crappy weather.

My buddy says his mechanic friend says you can pull the chip to get you unstuck but you can’t leave the chip out cus, as you’ve said, it’s attached to a bunch of other ****.

Brand new E450 cutaway will prolly run bout 50K as well. Only saw the 7.3 gas option though. Pfffttt that, if I’m gonna drive that much weight it better be diesel.

I do run good A/T tires on it & it helps tremendously. Just be prepared to dish out $1500 every other year.

Ain’t that the truth. I was chewing through 2 tires every 6 months. I would put the back tires up front and a new pair on the back. When the fronts got too chopped up I would do a switch and ditch then throw another new pair on the back.

Right now I have desert highway tires on my van. I’d get stuck on wet grass with these tires but they seem to last a little longer.
 
And to think I got tires with no warranty and they lasted 50,000 miles. You drive your rigs on broken Coke bottles?

I don’t believe I’ve ever gotten 50k out of a set of tires except for on my box van, and that wasn’t in the South. I killed a nice set of M/S tires in 4 months after I moved. Tires with softer beefy lugs for tread just don’t last long in the heat either but you need them for traction when you get off the pavement. Cost of doing business I suppose.

They said falling debris could harm someone in Montana. You know, it's so densely populated. 🤧
It's above where airlines fly, so why not shoot the electronics off of it.
You know this was being tracked long before it entered US airspace.
......or US space space (it was really, really high 😉)
I read somewhere it was 'dealt with" Electronically jammed?
I'd be surprised if they just let it do what it was doing.
