Hell if we’re all gettin together I’ll go ahead and make a cookie pie. Couple of home made pizzas, chips n dip. I’ll bring some recliners as well, you better be sure to wear your eatin pants with the elastic waist band.

Sign me up!

I'll even break down and do a brisket 😁

Off for a week before I start my new retirement job, lol. I got some soup going, and I made a loaf of sourdough last night. I like that its a process, and you get good returns on your investment of time. And it tastes good. View attachment 14283

That does look good.

You make that right in your regular oven do you?

If it's an easy recipe would you mind sharing?

I certainly wouldn't mind giving it a shot.

The price of meat has gone up a bit. That rack was almost $20! And I also got 2 ribeyes that came in at almost $40!

I think this might be a good time to get a chest freezer and a section of beef & a whole pig.

Simple ingredients. Flour, water, salt, starter. You need starter, you can make it, but for the time and effort, its easier to buy some. With that, you can be making bread in a couple days. But, I tell you this, its a friggin process, an investment of time. But you can make really good bread. If you can get ahold of some starter, let me know, I'll walk you through it. Most likely have all the stuff they need on hand. I use that clay tortilla warmer to bake in, but a cast iron dutch oven works. Thats what started it for me. I saw pics of bread made with a dutch oven, I had one, and tried it, That was 12 years ago, about a year and a half ago I attempted sourdough.

Well, since today is St. Patty's Day, I just placed a corned beef into the crock pot and set it to cook for 12 hours. Mama wants fried cabbage rather than water logged wet cabbage, so that will come later.

More for me😁
I caved in and bought something new because it had green on it....
......you know, so I'd fit in. 😁
19.2 oz.....
I'm glad they don't sell these in a six pack. I'd be so late to work I'd have to just turn around and go back home. 8.6 is noticeable compared to Budweiser.

Anything Widmer is not for me. Those heavy, dark beers will give me a hangover without even getting drunk. I’m more of an apartment grade beer kinda guy. I had a Busch light at the race the other day and dang if it wasn’t bad. It complimented my hotdog nicely.

Almost looks like a polish sausage instead of a hot dog. I've never seen a hot dog that big.
Well for dinner tonight I got gormet grilled cheese along with some gormet Lay's potatoe chips and gormet tea to drink. I thought my gormet wife outdid herself. 🤣
Bowl of canned chili with crackers. Zero sugar Coke,

If it ain't at least gourmet bologna, then ....my standards haven't been met.

The aftermath of the St Paddy's day corned beef cook, some Reuban sandwich's. Wife does the oven roast thing with the cabbage and taters in the cast iron pan. She does this stuff for a living, she makes it look effortless276134240_5617399934954937_1568830174097965513_n.jpg
