You know what is needed is an adapter that will make all these battery operated tools use 110 volt. I threw out a bunch of tools because they changed the battery configuration or don't make batteries for them anymore.
Bought a Craftsman drill years ago. 3 months later they discontinued it. And remember the rechargeable tacker, used the same staples as the Duofast, and very powerful. Battery quit on mine and they had quit making it.

Paid my car insurance, watched a Godzilla movie, ate a tuna sandwich and went to the store.................

I'm heading over to look at a job I did back in 1990 or thereabouts. New owner now. They have some water damage and I think the living room carpet needs replacing. I don't know if I'm up to that. The living room is 20 by 47 as I recall with angled walls/windows on 1/2 the room and there's baseboard water heat radiators below each window... as I recall, the heaters are pretty much continuous from one end of the room to the other. On the other side is a wide fireplace with an overhanging concrete hearth and some wide stairs sweeping into the room.
Another "wall" is all cabinets with the entertainment system and I think a wet bar.
I layed the carpet out the long way last time with one seam down the middle. The homeowner owned the local Ford dealership. He grabbed 6 of his shop guys to come up and help carry the two 47 foot pieces of carpet down into the living room. That room nearly did me in 28 years ago.
Gonna be interesting seeing this place again.

Fixing a friends Laptop that is about ready to be returned to him in a 1,000 piece Puzzle box .. It wouldn't even boot when he gave it to me ..
I got it booting into normal mode, and taking the log in password, But there is still a lot more issues with it .. Really cutting into my nap time ..

I've been doing quite a bit of renovation on my house. Bought last year. Built in 1978. I replaced the windows with low E glass. Replaced the aluminum sliding door with a new low E glass unit. There were 2 other aluminum sliding doors. Had one replaced with 35 inch windows. The other was swapped for a swinging steel door with half glass. Added a $8000 heat pump. Money came from previous house I sold after father passed 5 years ago. Remainder of money paid for renovation.

Now I'm planning on replacing all the floors, starting with the kitchen. First though I'm having a carpenter widen the kitchen entry. It's less than 31 inches wide and we had to do some funny maneuvering to get it in.
Kitchen has sheet vinyl in brick pattern. Looks like Armstrong 5352 which is likely to contain asbestos. Covering it with 1/4 inch plywood and applying silicone caulk to exposed edge. Will glue down Shaw Hamilton Oat Hay vinyl plank 7x48 Thickness 2mm. Will be here by weekend. Nobody had the adhesive stocked so I ordered that from Lowes for an insane $55/gal. Area to cover: 130 square feet. And that won't be here till October. LOL.

Next year after income tax returns I'll shop around for flooring for living room and hallway. Leaning towards Pergo for toughness and water resistance. Have a dog. Will visit a couple flooring people. I'll do this myself though. 400 feet of coverage. Heard different stories from the carpet installers around Lancaster, Pa. Some good. Some not. Can save $1500 doing it myself.. And I have a carpenter I've been dealing with for 6 years that can help if needed.

Landing on the stairs of my bilevel house has a 3x5 foot piece of sheet vinyl. Will cover with plywood and self stick tiles. Same over the concrete at bottom of stairs.

And last but not least will be replacing dirty carpet on stairs (14 steps).

And that's the plan for now.

I need to lose the weight anyway...
