Hunter came down with another ear infection. Yesterday it got pretty sore. He yelped when I touched it accidentally. Got him to vet today and he’ll be ok. Had his ear cleaned by doctor and ointment applied. When they brought him back to room he was squirming and pushing himself against the wall. Must have hurt. He’s on a mild pain medication and prednisone. He will be fine.

Dogs look cute. Cat looks like there’s an attitude issue, lol!

My beagle, Hunter, has an ear infection. Going to vet tomorrow. Inside of left ear is inflamed. He yelped when I touched his ear, poor guy. Yesterday he had a seizure. It was short. First one in 6 months. He’s on meds for that. Hunter says Hi!

My dog had an ear infection last spring and was given drops to put in. Stuff was oily and made a mess of her hairy ears. Had to shave them to get it off. Also how does the meds for seizure work for you? Mine has them about once a month a couple times twice. Vet said if we put her on the meds they will be there the rest of her life. Also if you use Nex Guard and there was a thing on line that it could cause seizures in dogs. Shepard breeds and a few other are susceptible to seizures. I have a mini Australian Shepard mix. They say it starts when they are about 3 years old. Hers started at exactly that time.

Tom, I'm glad that Hunter is OK but sorry to hear he's in pain. Those ear infections can be bad. A few of my cats have had bad ear infections over the years & it caused balance problems and a head-tilt. My orange kitty Rupert has a permanent head-tilt because of an ear infection as a kitten. It's actually how I got him. He was part of a semi-feral cat colony & I could see he was having problems with his ear but he ran from me at first. But the infection got so bad when he tried to run, all he could do was turn in circles and fall down. So I took him to the vet and got him treated with ear cream & antibiotics and then kept cleaning his ear and applying ointment. He got over his fears rather quickly and is now a very friendly kitty. We've taught him how to high-five us. Whenever we take him to the vet he tries to snuggle the vet & the assistants.

Bethesda is recovering well from being spayed. She was rubbing against my leg and begging me to pet her this morning. I bent down to pet her so Hatshepsut jumped on my back. Sir Hammington zerged through the door and got outside but regretted it since it was 49 degrees. I went to get in the car to go to the post office and he ran over and jumped in the car. I didn't have time to go put him back in so I just decided to drive with him in the car. At first he was confused and looked for a way out, then he accepted there was no escape so he settled on the front passenger seat with his face buried against the seatbelt. I turned the heated seat on high so he fell asleep. He didn't budge even when I went in to get mail. He didn't want to get up when we got home so I had to pick him up and carry him back to the house-- he freaked out a little when he saw the cow though, but I still managed to get him back in with minimal scratches. I still have some ugly scratches from when Predicate heard me say "tree" and jumped on me and tried to climb. He jumped from the floor so he got me just under my collarbone.

Meanwhile, the Moen Kingsley shower trim arrived in the mail. My mother was pleasantly surprised at how nice it looks. It looks better in person than in pictures. The valve should be arriving soon. We now need to pick which surround and shower pan she wants as well as pick a slidebar setup.

Is Softbac something that is extra thick to be more cushioned when people walk on it? Sounds like it's a major pain to install.

If I had it to do over again, I would not have had carpet installed in the house. I'd rather have the waterproof vinyl plank. The pets have not been kind to the carpet or the hardwood.

I never got around to messing with Mom's computer again. She was sitting at her desk watching TV when I went to bed. Sinuses aren't being nice to me today, but the cats are extra cuddly.

Hunter is fine. Will be on Prednisone for a week as he's weaned off the drug. But he will be fine.

Ran #6-3 cable from subpanel in garage to main panel downstairs. It's all ready for hookup when my brother recovers from his cold and can get over. Hope I never have to run #6 wire again! Doing that job I knocked down some batt insulation from the walls. The paper backing was so brittle it broke off and I couldn't put it back up. The downstairs heated area smells of tobacco and I suspect the insulation in the walls. Floor is concrete. So I bought 2 bales of 12 batts each. Replaced 6 batts yesterday. Yes, I did wear gloves and dust mask. Will do rest over next month. Hate fiberglass!

I was sad to hear about Stan Lee. I met him once at comic con in San Diego about 20 years ago.
It is cold and wet here so my sinuses hate me. Been coughing and having runny nose all night & generally feel crappy.
I finally told my mother about our new kitty (after I got her spayed and vaccinated at my own expense). Bc I'd already paid for it, she was ok with it. She actually laughed a little when I pointed out that I tricked her by acting all indignant when she asked who the cat was-- as if she should have known.
I brought my friend over to look at Mom's computer. He came to the same conclusion I did-- video card is fried. I think it might be under warranty so she needs to figure out if she bought it from amazon or newegg.
His fiance was having a hard time at her new job so they moved her to an easier area (bc they actually care about employees). My friend may be getting hired to work there fixing the arcade games. His sister works in the office for the place and knew the guy my friend needed to call. She called him to give him a number and told him to call. Then some guy sounding like Vinnie (from My Cousin Vinnie) answered with "WHAT?" when my friend called and went off on some spiel about doing his application then said "And one more thing" changed voices and said "Bring me McDonalds!" at which point he and other people in the room burst in to laughter. Friend's sister was there with him & they were pranking him. But the job starts at $15/hr. He gets to pick his days off, and has a regular schedule, and he gets full medical benefits.
If he starts soon, he might be able to save up enough $ to get his roof fixed. It's leaking like a mofo right now.
Other than the respiratory crud, I'm doing ok. Just fed Mom and am planning on taking a nap.
Oh, almost forgot that the nice man who bush-hogs the yard for us just dropped of a large roll of hay for the cows for free (said someone gave it to him so we didn't owe him). I need to call him tomorrow and thank him. The cows were very happy about it.
