Last night I had BBQ'd steak, small taters and grilled onions with the people I've been working for. Some kind of dense, and rich chocolate cake for desert............. tasted like a brownie on steroids.
Today I arrived just in time for lunch. All I had to finish was to loose lay some carpet i a small bathroom and cut three doors.
I think during this 2 week job, I managed 5 dinners, 4 lunches, cookies and trail mix for snack with my coffee. I turned down dinner 3 times because I needed to get home before 8.
The job has been a real bitch.

Disappointed, I finally got a "B" in a class after two+ semesters of all "A"s
I was happy to get a B instead of a C.

Yesterday, we had 6 painters doing the house from 8 Am until 7 PM. We also had the electrician, the drywaller, two gardeners who were chopping down two huge trees, a friend who just wanted to sit and watch the work being done, Home Depot delivered the new dishwasher, only to find out 10 minutes after they left that the back of the unit was crushed in from them dropping it, had the city water guys charge me $30 to "EXERCISE" the main water valve (only to tell me that he agreed with me that the valve needs replacing), and at 5 PM sharp, we had two burglar alarm installers ready to set up my new alarm. The G/F blew a fuse and told the alarm guys to get the hell out of here because there was too much commotion presently, so we rescheduled until Tuesday.
Because the painters like to unplug anything they can, I will be off-line for the next two days.
I'm flying to Seattle next week to start my Alaskan cruise. Boy do I need the rest!

Thanks. We don't leave for another 6 days, which is about the time it will take to find my clothes from this move from hell.
By the way, I sure wish I was smart enough to realize to check for the incoming DSL line before cutting out 200' of unused phone line into the house. Damn goof cost me 4 hours of work.

I spent 4 hours doing a hallway with a short seam, 3 seamed doorways and one bathroom doorway. Halls don't pay enough when someone else does the estimate.

You have that right .
Got the baseboards cut, installed and caulked yesterday. I used gel kneepads but didn't help relieve the pain from these metal knees. They are not designed for being on your knees.
