I was happy to get a B instead of a C.
....but I know it hurts to go backwards. I wouldn't sweat it, because it was probably the teachers mistake anyway. ;)

Yesterday, we had 6 painters doing the house from 8 Am until 7 PM. We also had the electrician, the drywaller, two gardeners who were chopping down two huge trees, a friend who just wanted to sit and watch the work being done, Home Depot delivered the new dishwasher, only to find out 10 minutes after they left that the back of the unit was crushed in from them dropping it, had the city water guys charge me $30 to "EXERCISE" the main water valve (only to tell me that he agreed with me that the valve needs replacing), and at 5 PM sharp, we had two burglar alarm installers ready to set up my new alarm. The G/F blew a fuse and told the alarm guys to get the hell out of here because there was too much commotion presently, so we rescheduled until Tuesday.

Because the painters like to unplug anything they can, I will be off-line for the next two days.

I'm flying to Seattle next week to start my Alaskan cruise. Boy do I need the rest!

I thought you just got back from a cruise? Should have gotten rested up on that one. Just saying.

Thanks. We don't leave for another 6 days, which is about the time it will take to find my clothes from this move from hell.

By the way, I sure wish I was smart enough to realize to check for the incoming DSL line before cutting out 200' of unused phone line into the house. Damn goof cost me 4 hours of work.

I spent 4 hours doing a hallway with a short seam, 3 seamed doorways and one bathroom doorway. Halls don't pay enough when someone else does the estimate.

Rear u-joint started making noise as I left a job yesterday. 2 miles down the road I stopped and it was hot. Turned around and went back to NAPA store and got a mini grease gun. Squirted some grease in the Zerk fitting and prayed all the way home. It was only 30 miles. I've never had a driveline fly out from under a vehicle and hoping this wasn't the day for it to happen. I stopped 6 times to let it cool and got lucky and made it home. One of the bearings was turned into powder and the joint was pretty nasty looking. My van has 3 u-joints and the one at the driveline has gone out a lot of times over the years. I hate drivelines and u-joints.

Had it happened to me 100 miles from home . Had to leave it at the gas station there , and get a ride home . Just replaced the hub bearings on my 2006 Chevy . 62.000 miles on it .
