Used ones are rare right now.One would think somebody would have a used one for sale. At the hardware store even the cheap ones are expensive.

Have you watched the YouTube channel Project Farm? The guy does test with everything from epoxies and breaking strength to how long different drill bits last to do all kinds of weird things with lawn mowers. He even heated up bacon grease and filled the crankcase full to see what would happen. They do actually run on bacon grease. My lawn mower broke.... and unlike your precision milled carpet roller, I fixed it like a redneck

They wanted 80 dollars for the pull assembly...pffft
Now it is an electric start
I don't have enough aluminum.
Cant say I have watched anything much on youtube. I just though, rope... spinny thing, broken. Drill=Spinny thing, WIN!Have you watched the YouTube channel Project Farm? That's the only way he starts a lawn mower. Neat idea. My super precision roller was actually, pretty low tech. Looks high tech because it's shiny.
Spray paint your drill with chrome paint and make it precision.
Voice command can be hit or miss. I remember trying it out on my phone to see if my phone could translate my words to text. I tried it out with a scene from Shakespeare's Julius Ceasar. It thought I was saying pizza something instead of piece of earth. I wish I could find that transcription again bc it was hilariously bad.If you read what I wrote before I corrected it...... I swear this flooring forum hates me.
I use my microphone instead of typing on YouTube and other places but my words never get tweaked and twisted as bad as they do here for some reason. It seems that it types correctly when I talk, but after I post my comment, the words get tweaked and twisted. It doesn't seem to happen anywhere else.
I don't even listen to the radio in my vehicle. I don't play music in it often either. We mostly sing on car trips. I remember when I was talking to the parts guy at the Honda place about getting a replacement part for my CRV (bc someone had cut a factory trim piece to put in a subwoofer and then kept the subwoofer when car was repo'd and there was a big hole). I commented that it was a waste to have that fancy expensive sound system but they couldn't spring for some decent LED headlights. It's a great vehicle, but the default headlights are garbage.I started porting my stereo from my Hyundai to my Honda. The most important part of any car is the Audio equipment which at no time shall be equal to less than three times the value of the car it is installed in.
This is going to take some time so for now, I just want to get the head unit and amps running then I will simply plop my sub box over and build a temporary sound bar for the 8 speakers I run that are not subs. The idea of the car is that I want to make the backseats/hatch into a custom fiberglass speaker/sub/amp install but I do not know if I have the ability to pull that off so for the time being I will just settle for sound. I figure it takes me the rest of the summer to complete and lord knows there will be a lot of profanity... but if I ever get it done, it will be something.
The nice part is I built the stereo a few years ago so I already have all the expensive bits... other than some MDF which isn't getting cheaper by the day and a custom pearl paint job... but if that does not pan out rustoleum is cheap
Nothing like installing 600W of drivers into a 92 Honda Civic, but I need something louder than the exhaust
Youtube has a LOT of very useful stuff. It has a lot of absolute drivel as well, but I've found some very useful things on there.Cant say I have watched anything much on youtube. I just though, rope... spinny thing, broken. Drill=Spinny thing, WIN!
My 32 year old mower bit the dust.Is buy a new lawn tractor too, but sticker shock is still in effect with the cost of eye surgery. Next year I might be able to sell my 10 year old Cub cadet to my neighbor and buy something that mulches better. This one has a kit I installed but the deck doesn’t have the height underneath. And I want one with an easy to remove deck for maintenance!
Makes me happy with it just getting windy here and never having stuff like that happen. During storms it can get pretty windy directly on the coast which is 5 mi away, and a lot windier 20 or 30 miles offshore. I doubt if in town, we've had a 50 mph gust in the last 20 years. 30 or 35 definitely, but something above that isn't common.10 years ago today, the worst tornado in the history of the U.S. hit Joplin, Mo. 161 died. Over 1,000 injured. On the ground for 38 minutes it caused $3 billion in damages. We went down to help and could not tell where we were, all landmarks were gone.
