I really want to think we are a little closer to 12. I just went out and did my drive and cut some trails in the back yard for my dog to run and do her business. I found one spot where she laid a loaf on top of the snow where she sunk in. Didn't even squat.

I miss snow. Or maybe I should say I miss snow in places where they don’t salt the roads.

You miss it until you have to deal with it, 😂. Believe me when I tell you it's not fun to dig yourself out just to go to work. Then have to shovel/snowblow after working all day..... And getting stuck and **** really sucks too.

It's nice around Christmas then I'm over it! I have been dealing with this **** my whole life and wouldn't shed a tear if I never had to touch it again.

And yeah, the salt is the worst! Bought my van from Florida about 6 years ago. Already started to rot out. Rockers start first and then it's game over. I don't care how much undercoat/treatment **** you do, it's inevitable.

That's one thing I noticed when on vacation down south. There's still a ton of vehicles on the road from the 80s & 90s. You don't see many if any around my parts more than 20 years old.

A friend of mine and myself were talking about bringing older models in good condition up north to sell. Anything pre 94 would kill around here. Especially trucks! Folks here want them because there's no emissions BS to deal with

That’s why I say I miss snow where they don’t salt the roads cus it doesn’t snow much in those areas. So when it does snow it’s a day off for me and I look out my window at the snow.

They don’t salt the roads in Portland and in the Carolinas they shut **** down just because of the possibility of snow. Everybody loses their minds when it does snow. My buddy n I took a snow day off and got a ration of **** for it only to find out that another installer crashed his van in the snow cus he wasn’t a ‘pussy’. Yeah, he went to make maybe $500 but it cost him 5K? He wasn’t a pussy but he also wasn’t too smart. I’ve even had customers give me **** for staying home on snow days and I just tell them straight up that their job isn’t that important to me to risk crashing my van. The best part is when they ask if I have chains. Chains are for getting me home, not to work.

I feel for you guys that have to deal with that **** for whatever reason.

Back in the late 60's early 70's we got a 14" drop. I lived 27 miles from work. I called the boss and told him I wouldn't make it in. He said that the job sceduled just had to go. So I got ready and took off for work. There was a one lane track that someone else had made and I wasn't about to give it up. Got there and loaded up, it was a freaking basement stairway. Anyway I could only get about a block from the house. Grabbed tool box and away I went. Got to the door and the HO asked " what the "f" are you doing here. Did his steps and went home.

Store owners can be nuts. Went out on a new construction job. Had been raining for 3-4 days. Got there, house is 200 feet from the street. No driveway or sidewalk, all is mud. Could see where someone had sunk in a foot. Wanted us to carry 200 yds carpet and pad, 60 yds vinyl, glue, tools and all through the mud. Contractor said they tried to get him to pour concrete in that mud. He left and so did we.

Yes snow looks good on Xmas cards which is about as close I will see it :)
I remember talking to Nick on Skype and I could never understand why he said he had to clean the snow away as the snow would keep coming back
Finally asked him and he said if he didnt he would not be able to get out of the doors of his house. Us Kiwis dont understand snow where I live maybe a frost a couple of time a year :)

I’ve heard it’s code here? A lot of swimming pools n such. Personally it ruins the back yard experience for me. Who likes looking at walls when you’re outside.
That's why you need to build high decks and balconies so you can see into your neighbor's yard and watch him or her sunbathing.
Hopefully Pamela Anderson is your neighbor.
.... Even more hopefully, she was your neighbor 30 years ago. 😁

I’m not gonna lie, there’s a few hot grey haired ladies that go to the pool here.
