OK, how was that accomplished? Those are inserted yard marks?
No, it comes like that.
As much as I would like to take credit for it, it was just a regular ol glue down.

I think it came out ok. The shop I did it for only got me the green for the fill pieces. I really wish they would have also got me the white so I could have continued the border on the ends.

That's the way it was planned out between sales and customer though.

If it was my design I would have done the football field in the biggest part of the room with a white border around it and filled all the other areas in green...

Damn carpet came 13' 6". The widest part of the room is 13' 8". So instead of filling in 1" on each side with green, I told him to do baseboards and Q round. Figured that would be better than seeing a 1/2" strip of green after just baseboards.

$9 for a tube of silicone, and it’s not even the good stuff!!

Gas here is around $3.49 to $3.69. The Y-Not Stop opened up with a Shell station. I've heard it's decent. Friend joke their drink machine requires a college degree to use.

I took him to the dentist today after he worked on trimming the wood block to keep my float lever from jamming. I found some tools I'd been missing. We commiserated about how stuff will be visible for weeks and then disappear when we need it. In a bit of alarming but somewhat good news: My friend banged his head really hard at work a couple of days ago and it moved the blood clots in his head so his vision in his left eye returned. It's not as good as it was before, but he's no longer blind in it. But I worry about where those clots went. He's got an appointment with a neurologist soon.

He left the dentist pretty happy (it was for an exam/estimate). They are going to put him under general anesthesia for it and the previous place gave an estimate of $10k to pull the teeth and required $3k downpayment first. This place said it would be under $3k for all the work. Then he's going to get dentures. He's considering getting the studs in his gums to hold them in but I told him he should research pros and cons.

Float lever is no longer jamming. Puppy crap was cleaned up. Cats fed. Mom fed. Kitties got fed. Cow got petted. I'm probably going to nap soon.

Pic of the puppies today (one has an ear folded over from playing-- their ears flop all over when they run):

This is a lower income area so the prices are a bit lower when it comes to gas. In the bigger towns with higher incomes the prices are higher. But they fluctuate here pretty frequently. Was up to $3.969 the other day. Some places were over $4.

Water isn't working this morning. I think wires came loose on the switch when my friend worked on it. Water pressure was low last night but I was too lazy to check. I tried shutting power off and back on again. No luck.

Took allergy meds and let puppies out this morning. Got a big hug from a neighbor's dog because he was making his rounds visiting people and other dogs. I let the owner know he was visiting. Told her my brother said he's seen the dog out there in the mornings but he goes back home. Princess wasn't as interested in him-- possibly bc the puppies kept barking. So he cuddled her a little, gave me more hugs, and ran around the yard a bit. I came back inside bc I'm still tired. one of the cats woke me up last night by walking on my face.

Oh, I'm not complaining. I remember gas being higher in the past. When we got hit with Katrina the gas stations were price-gouging like crazy.

Just last week I was looking at float lever switches and they were $40 to $50. Now I'm seeing none under $70 and the 2nd lowest was $98. Ugh. Our switch may be bad now but it could be wiring. If we have to replace it, I'm going with a totally different system. My friend is going to look at the specs of the controller I sent a link to when he gets home from work to see if we can get it working properly.

The thing I found has a controller, sensors that sit on the outside of the cistern (and can detect water level through 20mm thickness). Sensitivity can be adjusted. Can fit inside a junction box. I'm thinking of getting a dual gang junction box and having one side be for the controller and then have extra room for wago lever nuts to split off some wires from the initial power. One set of wires will go out to the jet pump and the other will go to the controller and from the controller it goes to the air pump.

But right now we have no running water. Friend said he might be able to come check the wires tomorrow.

Amazon does funny **** with their pricing. I was looking at another Kreg K5 jig and they were right around $130-$140. A week later and they were $199. Couple weeks after that and they are $140 again. $5 says there is an algorithm where you look at something then you actually buy it a week later.

Walmart is screwed up. I was looking at something on Walmart.com. It is supposed to give you the price at your local store. It said the item was $18.50. Stopped the store manager about a price check, It was $5.88.

In my case, Walmart will list the price and it will be higher at my store. Sometimes $1 or sometimes $5. I asked one of the managers there and they said they had to raise their local prices due to the amount of theft at the store and refused to honor prices from other walmarts or their own website. But, every once in awhile stuff will be cheaper, but not often.

I feel dumb because the reason my water wasn't working was a screw came loose on the lever arm so it wasn't closing the connection when the arm dropped to tell the pump to turn on. Took my friend 20 seconds to tighten it. But he also fixed my rake and helped me get the blade out of my oscillating attachment. I need two hands to push hard enough to get the thing to move enough. He showed me how far it had to move and I tried it but couldn't do it with just one hand. But, now I know so I can use more force. I didn't know it moved that far. LOL. He was able to download 13gb in 20min (he wanted to download some games onto his laptop and we told him he's welcome to use our internet whenever since it's unlimited). His internet only downloads 5mb/s.

Water is working again and I cleaned up puppy crap, took my meds, etc. I need to do more cleaning but my back is still too stiff. No yardwork today because it's too hot. Just standing out there my hands started swelling. They swell up instead of sweating sometimes.

When my back loosens up enough I'll go clean the toilet.

I'd say theft loss here is a lot higher-- and quite a bit of it is from disgruntled employees. They were losing a LOT on pricematching a well. They had a policy that a cashier couldn't check out a family member after awhile because cashiers would put something in as a price match to reduce the price on things and were selling stuff for 1cent to family. Then there were people who were lying about the price-matching and would yell at clerks. Then there were some clerks who didn't like people & would refuse to price-match legitimate stuff so the local store stopped doing it.

The kitchen trash can got knocked over and my brother didn't even consider picking up the trash that spilled. I hurt my back (having to carry the dogs to the room to put them up last night bc they would not cooperate) and he tripped over the trash, twisted his ankle, and fell down. I wrapped it and gave him an ice pack. Hopefully it wasn't too bad because he has court tomorrow & the courthouse has very steep steps. He tried to blame the dogs for his fall because he was kicking at them or something.

Landline is still out. AT&T wants to send out a technician but I'm fairly certain the problem is outside of our yard.

That's good news. Lots of cases in my area, sadly.
Went to court with my brother today. Total shitshow. The "victim" lied his ass off and the judge believed him. Furthermore, they refused to let my brother have an attorney on a case where the statute of limitations was up 2 years ago. He had to represent himself and the cop fudged the truth. He was corroborating my brother's version of events until the DA made a loud noise and started giving him stinkeye. He suddenly got very nervous. Started looking back and forth between my brother and DA and then suddenly claimed he couldn't remember. If my brother had been a lawyer he would have known he could have asked the cop if he had notes and where they were. Telling that the main witness was not called to testify.

I came very close to chasing after the old man (the lying "victim), telling him what a piece of **** he was and then shoving him down the stairs. But the bailiff got between us and ushered the jerk away from me before I could get near him. I'm sure she saw how angry I was.

The judge didn't even listen to the defense. He was reading something and ignoring what my brother said. So he said the state proved their case against my brother. Didn't matter that even the cop said that my brother told him the guy almost immediately pulled a gun on him and the reason he didn't leave was because he thought if he tried to the guy would shoot him. They now for bs reasons are giving several months probation for misdemeanors (which is not on any books so it's a scam to get $). Said he had to pay $150 in fees for probation ($50 a month for 3 months) plus $240 court fees and $300 fine. He was denied an attorney when he requested one almost 3 years ago.

But the lying sack of **** looked so pathetic & they believed him. If they had called his daughter she would have corroborated my brother's version of events. I wish my brother had listened to me and asked for her to be subpoenaed but they wouldn't even let him do that as he would have had to have asked ahead of time and they didn't explain to him how to do it. Kept playing hot potato and sending him to different people.

Not that the defense attorney would have done much. All he does is make plea deals. Old codger couldn't even remember which case he was dealing with.

They were extremely disorganized in there. It really makes me hate the local "justice" system bc they are such asshats. Cop at least had the decency to look somewhat guilty/apologetic bc he knew it was a bs charge but the DA wanted the $. Three years and the first time my brother had the chance to tell anyone in the court what happened was at his trial. DA wouldn't speak to him before the case to hear his side and got angry when things weren't going his way. I almost gave him a piece of my mind.

My brother asked about an appeal (they didn't give him an opportunity for that even) and they told him he'd have to get an attorney-- but he can only get an attorney if the court appoints one to him and they refused before and he'd have to appeal to get an attorney so its a catch 22.

So, my bp spiked and I'm still very angry about it all. Trying to calm myself down by watching Midsomer Murders on amazon prime.
