I had the help run to the lumber yard for them.
It was closer than going back to the shop for vct. Had I known I would have brought some. Unfortunately there was carpet here before so never got a good look at the slab.
I need x-ray glasses....... Who am I shitting, if I had x-ray glasses I wouldn't be using them on the floor! 😂
Ha! I still have PTSD from all my early year bosses tearing me a new one when something I needed wasn't on my car/truck/toolbox.

WHAT!!!!!?????? You don't have XYZ? ANY good mechanic comes prepared for the job. Meanwhile those bungholes ran operations where they'd dispatch you with absolutely zero information on what you were up against that day.

Have you used cinderblocks before? I wouldn't think they're heavy enough. Problem with the VCT is the "kids" are not what they used to be and tend to drop/mishandle on and off the truck and then on and off the floor. So once the carton's cardboard is ripped you play the whole duct tape game. Vinyl/rubber cove base cartons are even worse and our shop always had tons of those for "sandbag" projects.

I hated when someone else would measure my job. The last 10 years I measured everything I did.

Yeah, they work great. Just have to put cardboard under them to not eff up the hardwood. Plus a built in handle to carry them with.

Then when you're done there's ALWAYS a project that you can use cinder blocks on. They don't sit around too long. Now the odd boxes of vct on the other hand.... Been looking at them for over a decade!

I think you just search the record for the most likes and smiley faces. 😁 If I have x-ray glasses I'd probably have to wear a sunglasses over them with the same reasoning.

We set out a bunch of traps the other day. This is the second roof rat we’ve caught so far. He’s big. Nasty ass rodents.

Tool maintenance today. Gave Baby a new set of teeth and cleaned the rollers. Gonna have to look around for my Turtle Wax cus it’s time to wax the bed again.

One thing I always wanted was a shop to do stuff in. That's really nice Rusty. It's not funny that it costs more to make one by hand than go to WallyWorld and buy one.
That wouldn't be fun or rewarding anyway.
Wood is so expensive, these will be the last. I had this wood stored for a couple years.

I used to buy 1x2 hem/for to cut up for shim material because it doesn't have knots. It's like $2.79 per foot...... I haven't checked for a while but I'm going to.
On the bright side, gas is dropping like a stone. One station was way down to $5.13 today. 🤬

Rain here all day. Maybe snow later this work. Got my blood drawn this morning. Iron level is low again. First time in my life I had blood drawn and did not feel her stick me.
Since August 2021, 24 blood draws and 10 IVs.
